Want -0% customer service and useless staff? Choose 53 Bank located on Alpine Road!

I recently went to deposit 20K and instead the idiot teller deposited 2,000. Apparently he can't read the difference between "thousand" not "hundred" on a check.

Fortunately, as I drove off, I spotted the mistake and walked back in. I told the customer service manager, Leah Evers, the unacceptable mistake. She offered no explanation, suggestion or resolution. In fact, she was as dumb as the teller when she said "But when did you deposit this? When did it happen?" Maybe she should have opened her eyes and looked at the deposit date and time on the receipt I handed her!

This HUGE infraction was not my first issue with Fifth Third. When I opened my first checking account with them, I mysteriously started receiving credit card bills for a credit card I didn't own. I called the customer service manager who said they had NOTHING to do with it and it was my fault. I spent over a month, HOURS on the phone, and eventually had to have my lawyer type up a letter stating that I was not the owner of the account and would not pay the bills.

I later found out that Fifth Third took the pleasure of auto-enrolling me in some scammy credit card program without my knowledge. They said it was for "people without credit who needed to build it up." Complete b******* since I already had established credit. There was no fine print (as I always read it), and I was shocked and horrified that a bank would sneakily do this to a new customer.

Even worse, the bank manager decided to hit up on me, calling me at work and saying that I needed to "come in and go over my account," as well as offering me free checks since I was a "special client."

It doesn't matter if you have a penny or millions, they are DISHONEST LIARS and cannot be trusted with your money. There is no customer service, they hire incompetent fools, love to charge sneaky fees, and sign you up for cards you never authorized.
