Loved the food as much as we hated the service, or utter lack there of.

I was apprehensive about going because of the other reviews that said the service was terrible but food was good and I hoped that the service flaws were a fluke. It would appear that your odds of getting horrible service are pretty good if you add up the reviews online. Our server never introduced himself (we thought he was the busboy for a while), we had to catch his attention every time we needed anything (and that could take 10+ minutes), getting soy sauce was apparently a chore for him even though we could see it at the station across the room, one table of ladies got up and left after being ignored for 15 minutes even though they were seated right in the middle of the room and we finally asked a guy wandering around lighting candles and arranging chairs to ring up our bill after asking our server twice to bring it to us and then promptly ignoring us. The wandering guy even finished wiping down the table and arranging chairs before stepping over two feet to pick up the bill--and, no, there was no rush for preparing the table since no one was waiting for it.

We're in the habit of eating out very frequently. We also rarely find fault with service and we're one of those couples that makes up excuses for bad service (e.g., it's really busy, other waiters must have called in sick, etc.). This experience was the worse we ever encountered and we couldn't come up with any even semi-legit excuses for it...Not that the servers apparently cared.

I'll never be back despite the fact that the food was good. There are just too many option in Chicago to waste a meal on bad service.

Pros: Great food

Cons: Worst service we've ever had -- No joke.

Their menu claims to offer vegetarian food, but most of it is made with fish.

Even if you aren't a vegetarian, you have to wonder about a place that thinks fish isn't meat.
