Definitely a "no-go".

I heard about how good the I-57 ribs taste. I really had a taste for some good rib tips. since I live near the 6514 S. Western location, I decided to go to check out the food. Big mistake!!!

It was a Monday night, and only three people ahead of me. I waited 40 minutes for my three orders of small tips - which cost about $9.00 per order. My first clue that this wasn't a good choice was the sign on the glass saying "no cash refund for food". The second clue was a customer saying she was just too tired to drive to the "good" I-57 on 115th Street.

The mild sauce on the tips smelled like ketchup. The taste was sweet. the tips were big bones and meaty - a good thing? ...no! The meat was so tough that i could not get the meat off the bones to chew it!! I was so hungry that I tried to chew the meat while on the bone. Didn't work. I cut a few strips off the bone and the meat was very chewy. It was awful. All I could see was the "no cash refund for food" sign. Maybe I'd get another order instead of cash - no way!!!

This place sucks!

You can see the smoke stacks as you pass along the expressway and it would be a shame not to stop! They have good and tasty smoke ribs. The sauce is perfect and the meat is lean.

It is good to call your order in to avoid the long wait.
