Insider Pages Reviews for Massage Envy

Ratings_icons Pretty good!

I have been here a few times and have gotten really good massages, especially for the price. It can sometimes be hard to schedule with the therapist that you want, but so far that is the only slight problem I have had. I work outdoors with a lot of bending and lifting, and I really need regular massages. This place fits the bill : good massages at a good price. They aren't pushy either, which is nice. Who wants to be hassled when you are trying to relax?

I got a pretty good deep tissue massage for a fair price. There are high-end salons that do a more thorough job, probably, and their atmospheres are fancier, but for the price, this was a good place to go.

I called and scheduled an appointment. In order to make sure that I had enough time to get there and fill out the forms noted, scheduled the appointment at 2:30. Arrived at about 2:05 pm, filled out the forms, and described the problems with arthritis that I wanted worked on. This took until about 2:18. The manager then went to talk to the massage therapist, and told me that they could still get me in for the 2:00 apointment rather than having to wait for the 2:30 appointment which made little sense to me. So went back, and then got ready while they left me for 5 minutes to undress, therefore starting the massage at 2:25. At three o'clock I was told that the massage was through. So, for their special deal of 49$, I got a 35 minute massage. which did not complete what I went in there for. The pressure used was not deep enough for a deep massage.

Pros: Nice Soft Hands

Cons: Masssage was short, supposed to be medical

I went to massage envy per an ad I saw for $39. At the end of the massage I thought to myself, I guess you get what you pay for. I tried another massage place on Route 14 after this and loved it. They are only a little more in cost but well worth it.

Pros: location is convenient

Cons: the only upside is the location

This was a wonderful massage experience. I had some lower back issues and per a recommendation, had Pae as a therapist. While he isn't most versed in english, he was very good with the massage and gave some tips for stretches to do to help with the overall issue I was having. The heated massage table was an added plus! The only downside was the overhead music stopped about 2/3rd of the way through the massage so you could hear things going on in the hallway.

Also, from an earlier review concern, there are two owners to this clinic, one of which is a therapist and often will work on folks.

Pros: comforting atmosphere, friendly staff

Ratings_icons LOVE MASSAGE ENVY

I went to massage envy for the first time the other day and I lovveed it. The introductory rate was only $39, which I can totally justify being a college student. I didn't have to have that feeling of "this is awesome, but it's costing me a fortune!" lingering over my head. The rates after the intro. are really not that expensive either, which is pretty exciting! The staff was awesome. They were really nice and answered all my questions since I've had lower back problems from when I was little. I'm telling you, it was an hour of heavenly bliss, I wouldn't go that far if it wasn't true!

Actually Jaimie, works at the Wheeling location. She is very nice, but she does have a tendency to come off very rude. All that I can really say is that you should try going later in the day. Also, before you go to any of the massage factories aka Massage Envy, please do some research on the owners and the therapists. Most of the owners are not Therapists and really dont understand the whole concept of tiime management. I am not saying that the therapists are bad, I am just saying that please check out the place before you go, it will make the experience even better. The whole concept of the price membership is great but let me remind you that you do get what you pay for.

Pros: cheap, therapist are usually pretty good

Cons: factory like setting on the inside- in and out clients no real personal time with them, Therapist are usually right out of school because they will take anything

Ratings_icons Best massage for the price

I have been a member at this clinic since they first opened and I must say I love the people who work there. I have a massage about every 2 weeks and have never felt better. I was surprised when I read the experience of martolman, because that is no where near the treatment that I received. I was in a couple of days ago and asked the owner Jill if they had an employee named Jaime, and she told me they have never had an employee by that name. I can only figure the guy must have gone to a different location. This Massage Envy gets my highest recommendation.

Pros: good value, nice decor, friendly staff, great availability
