I had a great experience with Elm. They were very professional and responded very quickly when my air went out on a very hot day. My compressor went out and they explained to me my options without pressuring me to buy the most expensive system. I ended up getting an replacement system that is much more efficient. With the rebate I have saved a considerable amount in electic bills. I would definitely use them again!

Elm Heating provided excellent service, and fast. We called in the morning and our mechanic, Tim was there by 1. He was friendly, courteous, and very good at his job, taking time to explain what he was doing and why. I would call them in a second if I had problems with my heat again. Highly recommended.

My home flooded in April, Elm came out and installed a new furnace in my home. The crew was very efficient, they worked very hard, cleaned up all the mess and were very courteous.

Just wanted to tell you what a great experience we had with your company & serviceman with our recent duct cleaning. Dax was on time, extremely pleasant, tolerant of our 2 dogs! and very professional. Our Cleaning lady even mentioned, we had a lot less dust when she came in for her monthly cleaning. It was our 1st time utilizing the services of Elm and it definitely won't be the last.

My family has been using this company forever. When I first bought my house in River Grove, I signed up for a seasonsal maintenance plan, 10 years later I have never had any problems or issues with my furnace or air conditioning system. Over the year, lots of businesses have came and went on Grand Ave, but this one has been around forever.

I had a new furnace / air conditioner installed in December 2010 and it was a wonderful experience with Elm Heating & Cooling. My service specialist, Bob H., is great! Bob H. is curtious, knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. As a very concerned customer, Bob H. takes his time to explain and even show us any issues we have questions on. Bob H. is, and always will be, the one I request.

My sister was having problems with her old unit; because of the wonderful / knowledgeable experience I had with Elm Heating & Cooling I recommended them to her. She recently (May 2012) had a new air conditioning unit installed. I will definitely recommend / advise her to ask for Bob H. as her service specialist.

My recommendation, to anyone, is to contact Elm Heating & Cooling - their the best!

Thank You for providing a pleasant experience.

NOTE: I had Mel-O-Air as my previous service. I would NOT recommend calling them. And, I would not have Aaron as my service technician (not knowledgeable at all; I TOLD him things he should have known).

After a 10 minute visit the guy didn't want any part of it but still charged me the service call fee. His name was Bob. Didn't even attempt to diagnose the problem because my guess, was too lazy to get in the crawl space of the house. Bluntly told me he didn't want to get in there at this time. I'm guessing I was his last client. All because he was going by what I told him from what the previous HVAC had said. Don't bother with these people. Should've read the reviews before I called them.

My father is in his 90's, disabled and legally blind. He was a customer of ELM for years. I never thought to check on things until he calleed for a service call on a weekend. His caregiver called me and said that the service teck told my Dad that he needed to replace his furnace (15 years old.) His service man's name was Kevin Lyons, who stated that the furnace was too dangerous to use, and he had to disable it for safety reasons. He went on to name what was wrong, the defective gas valve and also the heat exchanger that had a crack. Kevin tried to pressure my Dad into signing a contract on the spot. Our wonderful caregiver encouraged him not to sign. Kevin then lowered the price twice, starting out at $3,900, ending up at $3,200. trying to get my Dad to sing a contract. I had the furnace independently checked out, and there is NOTHING wrong with the heat exchanger that was considered acceptable by LENOX the furnace ccompany. He quoted my Dad $800.00 to replace the gas valve ( the part costs $100.00.) THIS IS THE BEST PART.......the furnace was still under warantee! including the heat exchanger which he NEVER even gave my Dad as an option! ELM origionally put in his furnace & A/C. So much for customer loyalty! I am filing a report wth the Illinis Attorney General Office. Some Seniors aren't computer savy, so it's up to their families to protect them! READ REVIEWS ON YOUR SERVICE PROVIDERS! Be aware of who comes in your seniors home!

My Air Conditioning was not blowing cold air out of the central Air System. Not Blowing hot air, just room temperature. Just bought a house and a neighbor of mine reccomended this company to me said they have been using them for years. Placed a call to this company in the morning, they sent out a technician to my house a couple hours later. I left to go to work, my wife was the only person at home she said the technician was very polite and professional. The problem was that the ac unit outside was choked up because of all the cottonwood from the neighborhood's trees, this caused my AC to overheat therefore causing it to not blow cold air. They did a great job of explaining to my wife that my outdoor ac needs to be serviced on a regular basis to prevent this. Overall, I was impressed with Elm Heating, I would definitely use them again in the future.

I told the guy over the phone that we will look compare his quote and get back to him later. He then said he would drop the price to $3500, which got me even more suspicious. After I told her to refuse it on the spot, he then wanted to charge $80 for talking to me (less than 5 min), and wanted her to pay him $180 for inspecting the unit, even though he did not fix anything. He also refused to leave until he got paid, saying that every minute he is there, he will charge her more. Eventually she paid him, against my advice, because she did not want any trouble. I called police, because we live 1 hour away. Police officer told her that she should cancel the check and report it to the company. I would not recommend this company at all.

I have had Elm come out 3 different times over the last 5 years (most recently about 2 months ago) for furnace issues and they have delivered on service expectations every time. They are a great resource and are an emergency 24 hour response, so I always recommend them!
