We have had Jensen/Mundelien for our home pickup service for over 18 years, and I have never had a complaint or problem. They are consistent, and never gripe about quantity of trash even when we were remodling and had construction bags (we'd give the driver a little something if we had something that was excessive, and help him load it).

Great service, easy to talk to, never had a problem. It is unfortunete that they have closed (merged with Groot), and even though Groot is currently maintaining the customer base, I suspect the rates will rise even more !

It pays to read reviews - had I read those already on here about Jensen's service, I would have known what to expect...

Our subdivision contracts with Jensen for garbage removal. I personally have not experienced any problems related to garbage pickup for the last 3+ years. Then our garbage can was stolen (you're asking yourself "who would steal a garbage can??" My wife and I asked ourselves the very same thing).

We called Jensen and asked that they drop off a new can, but they said we had to file a police report for the theft before they could replace it. Weird, seems a little unnecessary, but ok. We filed the report that same day and called Jensen back with the report number.

That was 4 weeks ago. We've made 8 calls now since that time, inquiring when the shiny new can will be delivered, and each time the answer is "They should drop it off with this week's garbage pickup." On the 6th call, the secretary explained "I don't have any record of you needing a can, so [the garbage man] must be dropping it off today." Needless to say I was very doubtful, but hope remained. Another fantastic note: we've asked to speak with a manager each of our 4 most recent calls, but he apparently manages in absentia and is never on-site, at least during the off hours of 8 AM to 5 PM when we call.

This last week was the kicker though: they didn't even pick up the trash we'd left in bags, as they had the previous 3 weeks. Apparently, even the garbage men have had enough of our can-less situation.

So the moral of this long-winded review is this: if you're considering a garbage contractor for your new subdivision, see what their customers say about their service when things go wrong, because that's when a company can differentiate itself from its competitors.

I HATE THIS SERVICE THAT I AM RECEIVING. ALWAYS LATE!!!! NEVER PUT CAN BACK NEAR THE DRIVEWAY ALWAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.

IS NOT WANTING CUSTOMERS TO RECYLCE ALWAYS HAVING A EXCUSE WHY THEY CAN'T TAKE SOMETHING AND WHEN I BOUGHT A BIGGER CONTAINER TO HOLD MORE REFUSED TO DUMP IT!!!!! ALWAYS A HASSLE!!!!!!!!!

EVERYTIME I CALL AND TALK TO THE OFFICE THEY ARE THE RUDEST AND I MEAN RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER TALKED TO!!!!!! NEVER FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL JUST A NUMBER AND CHECK TO THEM!!!! MY SUBDIVISION CHOOSES WHO PICKS UP THE GARBAGE IF IT WAS MY WAY THEY WOULD BE THE GARBAGE BEING PICKED. SO PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE. ANYONE HAS TO BE BETTER THAN JENSEN DISPOSAL!!!!!!

I've been a customer for 3 years. I've had no problems with their service or their employees. I frequently have extra items to dispose of and as long as you call ahead, they have no problem picking them up. They often don't charge me any extra to do so. They have never missed a pickup.

I like the fact that they are a local company and I personally find them much more pleasant to deal with than my previous service, Waste Management.

Also over the past year the garbage man has broken the handle on 2 cans by throwing them down after they were empty.I changed service and requested that this person not come on the property out of fear of retaliation.
