Lindholm Roofing replaced my roof. The shingles were a perfect match and the crew was extraordinarily considerate and fast when tearing off the roof, installing it, and cleaning up. We have much gratitude toward Lindholm Roofing and give them the highest recommendation.

Lindholm Roofing removed and replaced my whole roof. The salesman was extremely good. All products have changed since the last time we did our roof. He gave me access to how to look everything up, and walked me through everything. I ended up using what he recommended. I was having trouble picking color and he gave me a list of homes he had done with the colors I liked and I drove by and checked it out. They were patient and accommodating. The got the permit within 24 hours and gave me a choice of when they would come. They came right after memorial day. They put plastic all over the attic so dust wouldn't fall into the house. Then they covered all the landscaping with a tarp. It only took 2 days for them to finish and they completely cleaned up. No nails lying around or anything. The roof was beautiful.

When you put on a new roof you expect that you won't have to deal with it again for at least 20 years. But... things happen. We had a run of bad luck with faulty product -- nothing Lindholm could have anticipated. I called Tim and from then on I never had to lift a finger to file a claim, receive proper compensation and completely replace the faulty material. One hires a supplier and hopes for two outcomes: 1.) good service and quality workmanship and 2.) NO PROBLEMS! I've received BOTH from Lindholm!

I have had lots of work done by Lindholm Roofing. They performed several repairs, installed new windows, installed new gutters and even tear-off on our garage. Abraham came out to perform the repairs, he was very polite and clean. My husband and I were concerned about some additional areas that we did not tell our project manager about and Abraham took care of it for us. Wally installed new seamless aluminum gutters on our house and garage. They work great, no pooling around our foundation anymore!! Peter was the gentleman that put on our roof, he made sure we were aware of bad wood that needed to be replaced which could be a big surprise to a customer if not announced. I have recommended Lindholm to all my friends and family, I have never heard about anything but exceptional service. Although I hope the bad storms don't effect our roof, siding, or gutters I know I can count on Lindholm to be around for 50 years to come :)

I had my entire roof re-built on my house as well as new ventilation and correction of flaws from original construction. This was a $16,000 job and everything that was performed was excellent!! Following area hail damage, roofing companies from every where were soliciting insurance income. Lindholm was the only local company, and they paid special attention to my unique needs.They were honest and fair to work with from the beginning. My project manager Chris was personally involved every step of the way and attentive. I would recommend Lindholm's services to anyone and would use their services again in a heartbeat.

I have used Lindholm Roofing for for over 25 years. I had my own business in Chicago and had Lindholm Roofing come out and redo the entire roof and metal work. I recommended Lindholm to my son who used them to install all new siding on their home. They have preformed several repairs/replacements on my home in the northwest suburbs.
I am currently working with two of the owners who have contacted me several times to keep me updated and come out to meet me twice. The shingles put on our roof were part of a class action suit that the Lindholm's brought to my attention. They took care of everything from filling out the form to taking shingle samples and pictures at no cost to us.
They are now in the process of giving us a new roof, soffit, fascia, siding and gutters. As old customers they give us the best prices compared to other companies and the best service. We will always stick with Lindholm and recommend to any and all friends and family.

All johnny on the spot when selling the roof, pointing out all problems that will go away with their product and service. Well, not only did this not happen, but they were hard to reach, started blaming the leaks on other construction factors, and were actually rude--which was the case from the people answering the phone to the owners. As I talked with others about this, I found similar experiences and stories. I thought because it was a long-standing family-owned business, this could not be the case. I was wrong.
Do not use Lindholm roofing.

Had my roof, siding and gutters replaced last year. Tom Lindholm was very helpful in coming to us with sample options and a great price. The job ended up at $14,000 but it was well worth it for the outcome and service. I would certainly recommend them to others.

We had a $10,000 job with Lindholm roofing that we were extremely happy with. Tim Lindholm came out right away and responded to every question we had.
The work we had done was a full roof replacement, siding replacement, exhaust fan and vent replacement.
This is the 2nd time we have used this company. It took my wife 1 year to decide on the roof color. Tim was extremely patient during the process. He was also very helpful in discussing the replacement numbers with the insurance co. When the work was finally started, it was done is a very efficient and thorough manner. Clean-up was great. Even went up on the roof with Tim to inspect the job.All our contacts with the office personnel were pleasant and professional.

Good luck getting TIm LIndholm return your calls if there is a problem after they have your money. At least 5 calls and no return calls ...Funny before the work was started I had no problem getting ahold of Tim...? I would advise to stay away from this business. Very bad people funny how they advertise as a family business but the family runs and hides when problems arise....Stay Away you have been warned by someone who has to tear off a seven thousand dollar roof after only 10 years....

We are so thrilled with Lindholm Roofing! Our salesman was one of the best we have worked with in a long time. He was on time and very polite. He answered all of our questions with easy to understand explanations. He went through his entire contract in detail with me personally. The three other companies we got estimates from were not as helpful and informative. The work was just as good as the service. We recommend Lindholm Roofing to our family and Friends.

Extremely pleased with the work. They did a two layer tear off and hand nailed new shingles. Did a great job of wrapping chimmney. I have used Lindholm several times in past to repair animal damage to roof so it was a no brainer to get a bid from them. Mike Gabrione is the Sales rep I have worked with and he is very professional. Lindholms bid fell right in the middle of the 4 bids recvd. Tear off and installation all done in 6 hrs. Clean up went great, two yrs later I am writing this review and all work still in great shape. Thanks Mike and Lindholm.

Lindholm put on a new roof and soffit/fascia. The work looks great! The crew that performed the work was very polite and professional, they were one of the quietest group of workers to ever work on our home. I had a contractor installing bathroom utilities play the radio and sing at full volume for a week! Since then I appreciate an exceptional crew that is courteous and professional. The crew was also extremely neat. I went outside after they left and it was as if they were never there. Great company - would definitely recommend!

Hired Lindholm Roofing. They called me on Thursday July 8th and scheduled for today July 23rd. They never showed up!! When I called - they claimed - no one called me. Really? I just MADE UP the day so I could...what? Take a day off work -sit around doing nothing and then call you and ask you where you were for the heck of it? Really? THAT'S the angle you're going to take? I didn't make up the day - THEY CALLED AND SCHEDULED IT FOR TOOODDDAYYYY. Hire a more professional company - don't hire this one.

We heard of Lindholm roofing on the radio, and called up the company to have someone take a look at our house for an inspection. We recently bought a home and were not 100% sure about the condition it was in. John came out from the company and gave us honest answers to our questions. We were told that there were some parts of our house that were fine even though they looked a little worn. We only had the gutters and spouts replaced, but plan on having Lindholm check our house again in a few years. We would like to say thank you, and recommend Lindholm to others.

I strongly recommend this company. They were a pleasure to work with from the initial call to the day I sent the check in. I got a live person when I called with my problem. The salesperson, Don, came out promptly. Gave me an honest estimate. His knowledge of the problem was accurate and clear. They scheduled the job and came out when promised. I contracted Lindholm Roofing to install a new shingle roof on my house in Park Ridge three years ago, May 2005. The price was good, and the roof was installed fast and looks great. There was a small amount of debris around the house, but I was told to expect that. My reason for writing a review came when I had a small leak three years later in September of 2008. I called the company to come out and see what the problem was. They explained how the leak was most likely coming from around my Chimney, and there was a good chance that the roof itself was not the culprit. As a show of goodwill the salesperson coated my chimney with a waterproofing solution at no charge and told me to call him if the leak returned. So far my house is dry and I just wanted to say thank you to Lindholm Roofing for trying to help me and standing by their work years after the roof was installed.

Although we had an initial good experience, we were very disappointed to find the firm unresponsive to what was, essentially, a small problem. Regrettably, because they failed to respond, this small problem mushroomed into thousands of dollars of water and electrical damage. We engaged Lindholm for a full roof tearoff. They failed to tell us that our skylight was cracked. Or perhaps they cracked it during the tearoff. Either way, we would have gladly replaced the skylight at our expense had they advised us. Instead, they chose to swaddle the cracked skylight in caulk. It didn?t hold. When the leaks began, the firm, and Tim Lindholm specifically, simply didn?t respond to calls or Fedex letters. In fact, they didn't respond when we asked for a quote to replace the skylight. \r

When they finally responded it was already too little too late. With a big advertising budget, a referral from a home inspector and promoting themselves as a family-owned business, this was not what we expected. We made a big, expensive and traumatic mistake. It is too late for us. You should learn from our experience and that of other reviewers. There are many roofing contractors in the area. Find one with a consistently good reputation.

I highly recommend this company. I had a leak and called 3 roofers to give me a quote. Lindholm answered promptly and courteously to come out for a free quote. The other companies either didn't call back or did so a month later. Salesman was educated on my problem and gave me options to solve problem. No oversell or panic. Job was done as promised and clean-up was fast and amazing. I had a question a 6 months later on my gutters and salesman took the time to come out and attach a elbow. No charge. This is what a family company is all about.

Lindholm roofing installed a new roof and gutters on my house two weeks ago. They finished the entire roof within one day and had the gutters done two days later. I paid for everything upon completion and am more than satisfied with the whole process. I'd recommend them because of their quality work and their knowledge of what my home needed.

They charged me $750 over the contracted amount without saying wh. They then claimed my wife had authorized extra work. To this day, she has not spoken one word to the company. They continue to bill me for work we did not wish performed. I question their integrity. These people at the very least treat their customers poorly. You may deduce what my experience infers.

I own a home in Lincolnwood that had a leak around the chimney. I had a number of roofing companies out and most didn't want to get involved, or else told me I needed a new roof. One of the only ones to actually help was Lindholm. They explained all of my options clearly and let me decide what was best for me. I chose the affordable option to try and repair the problem according to their recommendations. They came out quickly and did everything they said they would, including cleaning up. Time has pasted and the leak seems to be gone. It was refreshing to have something fixed properly and promptly. When the time comes to put on a new roof Lindholm Roofing will be the only company I'll call.

They never had anyone discuss the work with us before starting the job. I asked for a full tear off, and they wrote the estimate for one side of he house without telling me. They left my property riddled with debris and damaged several areas of my house including siding, overhangs and gutters. When I called to complain, no one was sent to discuss the damage for almost three months. When I asked for some restitution, i was told to pay up. I tried to contact the owners of the company and was sent another errand boy. I could not be more dissatisfied with the interaction, the work and the follow up. Just a bad experience all around.
