I think it??s important for consumers to inform other consumers on experiences; both positive and negative ones, which ensures that the general population receives the reviews of a regular consumer and not just the professional reviews. I just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan, and I went looking to trade-in my smaller vehicle for a larger one. After going to several dealerships, which were courteous and helpful, but unwilling really to work with me on my requests (probably due to the good car sales in NOV/DEC)? I then decided to go out a little further from the Fort Bragg, NC area (Fayetteville area) and I contacted Lumberton Ford. Right from the start I was treated first rate. On contacting Ford, Ms. Carter of intranet sales set me up for an appointment at my convenience, and provided all the information that I needed. On arrival to my appointment I was met at the front desk (waiting for me) by Ms. Ransom who greeted me and forwarded me to my salesperson, Mr. Ray Britt. Mr. Britt was outstanding, walking me through various vehicles and providing data that was vital to my decision. Once I decided on a vehicle, I then spoke to one of the managers, Mr. Spell who after reviewing my requests and looking over my trade-in, came and personally talked to me to ensure me that I would be taken care of. After a short time, both Mr. Spell and Mr. Britt came and informed me that I was all was taken care of and my requests would not be an issue. Just to add, my requests included vehicle type, monthly costs, GAP insurance and several accessories which including towing. At any rate I was first a little shocked in how all the dealership in the Fayetteville, NC area did nowhere close to want to work on closing the price, instead pushing me to adjust to them. To continue with my day, I was then moved to Mr. Bishop and Trice, who both spent a good amount of time setting my SYNC account and system up, while providing me a tutorial on the system. They did not finish until I was educated and all my questions answered. Finally I went to the finance point of contact, Mr. Waddell who walked me through every facet of the financial package and talked me through each area of my contract. He did not attempt to pressure me into any additional protection or additives, which I have experienced many times. I then took my shook hands and drove my vehicle home. I was so happy with my experience and purchase that I returned and traded-in my second vehicle for a new vehicle as well. Not surprisingly, this purchase was a positive as the first one in the day.
Ultimately all I can say is that I've purchased many vehicles in my life, and by far this was the best and most enjoyable experience. The dealership and employees gave it a family and home town feel. Being from the city (NYC) I've always envisioned a friendly southern atmosphere and this was it. I without a doubt recommend Lumberton Ford to anyone that asks especially military personnel. Being in the military, you find that dealerships do not have issues selling vehicles to young Soldiers, so I believe it??s difficult to obtain good obtainable deals. But driving a little further to a place like Lumberton Ford would be ideal; give them a chance, like I did, you might be surprised.

I have purchased over 10 New Vehicles from Lumberton Ford, their sales staff, especially Mr. Jr. Dew, are second to none. They have a great service dept. as well.
Highly recommend them.
