I've had several interactions/appointments here and every time has been exceptional. Staff is very friendly and professional. I'd refer Dr. Lowry and Dr. Porter to anyone

I went for a consultation here and from the moment I walked in his staff made me feel like I was unwelcome. Ann was downright rude. The doctor seemed uninterested, so I really didnt deel comfortable having him mess with my eyes.

I had Lasik here in 2004. During my time in the Peace Corps in Africa, my vision got worse and I needed glasses. Lowry refused to see me unless I paid the exam fee, which I grudgingly agreed to, but then they refused to help me discuss filing for FECA to have the Lasik redone. Lowry himself would not even come into the room so I could discuss it with him. After a frustrating 30 minutes of trying to tell them I just wanted to TALK to someone...and after all I paid thousands of dollars to have surgery with them, the least they could do is talk with me...I took my file and left.

I have paperwork stating that after my 6-months check-up, no further care was necessary. When I went back, they tried to tell me I had to have had a check-up every year for them to consider helping me.

BAD business practice. Rude and cares only about money.

Pros: took IBM flex money in 2004

Cons: rude, uncaring, greedy, cares only about money and not about patients, lied on paperwork
