The owner was fabulous to me from the moment I walked in the store. She picked out 10 dresses for me to try on and I loved each and everyone of them and bought one the same day. Trouble didn't start until after I paid for the dress---I was lucky to get my dress since they shut their doors the day after I picked mine up!

So--if you ever meet Shannon Starcher at another dress shop--run, do not walk to the door!

I paid for a dress and they didn't deliver. They shut their doors. I think it is disgusting that citysearch has deleted the other reviews.

I don't really have anything to say, I'm just curious what happened to the other posts that went up when the whole scandal came to light. Anyone?

Where does one begin to explain the injustice a company /family owned business/makes you think you are family...I understand that the lawyers want us to think we can never receive any comphensation for our losses...yet I beg to differ... This is where the lawyers and La Bella Sposa are wrong. We do deserve justice and it will happen. I paid for 7 bridesmaid dresses to Shannon and had to rebuy them from the designers-who had never been paid from Shannon-After numerous phone calls and emails with stories on stories of lies from _the designers have moved to Poland_NOT TRUE- etcc... etc.......Where we can go wrong is- to let this slide-YES there are bigger things in life to be concerned with-that excuse- is exactly what people like Shannon pry on-and continue to slide by on-the fact is,if she and her husband are any kind of respectable humans (parents of 4 children) they would work towards making every injustice they have done to other's rectifited. And not until then should they be allowed to rest in peace.

We are still trying to help all those brides with their problems....we have Eden Designer Wedding Gowns reduced to $55.00 and all Forever Yours Bridal Gowns-reduced 50% for the Brides in hopes we can help them in some way or if they just want to talk...we are good listeners and have a shoulder to cry on....we have a one-stop bridal shop and are sure we could help them if they will just come see us or call us...we will pray for all the brides. if we can help, please call or come see us,.

In February, I paid in full for an Ines Di Santo gown. Shannon told me that she sent the order to the designer and that it would be ready at the end of July. I had been calling/e-mailing her to check the status of my dress and I never heard back from her. On June 9th, I received a call from someone named Kaitlin, saying that she was really sorry but, that I would not be getting my Ines Di Santo dress. I asked why??? She said that Shannon would no longer be there to receive my gown...----dress was never coming anyways!. I demanded her to tell me what was trully going on, she then said that Shannon was going out of business and that La Bella Sposa had been bought by someone else. I asked for my refund, and she told me that she couldn't give me one. She said Shannon had "money problems." I told her to have Shannon call me but she said that Shannon could not call me back. I immediately called the designer and they had my order but had not started production as Shannon owes them lots of money. The designer is willing to work with all the brides that were affected by this situation.
I get married in September. I now have to pay for another dress...and deal with this huge mess.
Shannon Starcher should be brought to justice. I just don't know where to begin...
I called the bankruptcy court but they could't find a case under La Bella Sposa or Shannon Starcher.
The police won't file a report as its a civil matter and the DA's office will help if enough brides come forward. So please come forward.
