In my opinion, this is a company I would not do business with on any level. American Comfort did work on our AC unit last October. First hot day this year we began using the AC unit and it is not operating. Their technician informed us our attic is too hot and that is why the unit is not working. When I called for further explanation I was literally yelled at.\r

We had an independent technician come out who does not think the issue is our hot attic, but the part American Comfort installed. We are now left in a position to repair the AC unit yet again by another company.

Came home about noon today and the house felt a wee bit warmer than normal. Did a quick on-line search and Gave ACR a call. Now, I really figured that I would be sweating this one out for at least a day or two. Yon answered, said he would be here a bit later in the day...wow!....and he was...WOW!!!.....Slowly cooling off as I type.

I am a small service business owner and know the challenges that come with the territory. Yon made this one look effortless.

My outside AC unit stopped working during a recent high 90s spell. I called, explained the symptoms, he asked when I wanted him to come. I replied ""tomorrow AM"", he said he was swamped, and said ""after 6 pm"". He didn't show up or call to cancel.

Fortunately I have a very simple unit - 4 electrical parts - and some training with electric motors. The fan and big relay were obviously OK (the fan ran) leaving a capacitor and compressor. I wasn't about to tackle the compressor myself, so I removed the capacitor, bought a replacement at D & L Parts in SE Raleigh for $22, replaced it, crossed my fingers, turned on the power, and it works fine now. woo-hoo!

Reading the reviews I called American Residential to check into why our AC wasn't working. I set up the appointment, $80, and mentioned that it may just be a blown fuse. Yon came out and after a brief inspection, said that we needed a $5-6K heat pump but that he might be able to fix it by replacing the 1-2K compressor. Bummed, we called our home warranty and they sent out Comfort Wizards. After a longer inspection and $60, it turns out it was the fuse!!!!!! Must always be careful and if possible get a second opinion....

Last night, my husband and I had just gotten home after 13hr car ride from upstate New York. We were looking forward to relaxing at home, but when we arrived the AC was not working and it was 90 degrees in the house. UCK! After a small meltdown, my husband assured me he would call someone to take care of it in the morning. He called Yon at 8 AM and he was here before 10am. We tried to salvage a 24 year old unit and Yon didn't try to pressure me into a new one. He tried everything he could to replace broken parts and get it going. He came to my house at least 4 times. I was sick with pneumonia and finally said why don't we just put in a new unit, even though I knew he was scheduled out for two weeks. He was so concerned about me being sick in a hot house, that he rearranged his schedule and was able to install within two days. Bless him.

My air went out late Friday night. Called American Comfort 10am Sat morning, they came by 11:30. Extremely courteous, friendly, and competent. Had the problem diagnosed within 2 minutes, had part in truck, replaced and up running in a total of 15 minutes. I would highly recommend and would use them again.

My AC went out during this past heat wave. I called and Yon came within 2 hours. He was in and out within 15 minutes. Problem fixed. As another said, he was in and out quickly and was in a rush. He did his job well but was rushed. He said he had a back log for several days so I guess I was lucky to have my ac fixed the same day. We were home sweating so I am greatful. Weather is in the low 100's. For emergency purposes, yes I would use him again.
