Dancesport Carolina is the best! I am not a very exciting person nor do did i live a very exciting life. Once i started dancing at DSC everything changed. NOw, I have a hobby I cant live without, I have met so many fun people, and I have something to look forward too every week. This studio goes above and beyond when it comes to service. It was January of 2009, I was alone, watching television in my apartment and bored out of my mind! As someone once said, I was, "leading a life of quiet desperation". I knew that I would have to make a change soon or risk leading a boring, mediocre life forever! But what could I do? Being in my mid-thirties and single, I was done with the bar scene and online dating provided many forgettable nights and awkward situations (For example, when you are sitting across from your date in dead silence, realizing that you have nothing in common with that person!).
The next day at work I saw an online ad for Dancesport Carolina ballroom dancing. I was intrigued and decided to check out the website. The site was well done and showed alot of people having a great time. What did I have to lose, I thought, so I called and scheduled a free lesson. That Friday, despite some hesitation, I arrived at Dancesport Carolina with much anticipation . Immediately when I entered the studio I noticed a buzz in the air! People were excited to be in the studio and were having a great time! Despite my initial discomfort with ballroom dancing (I am not the most graceful person in the world), the instructors were extremely professional and made me feel at home right away. I became hooked on ballroom dancing right away and I have been taking lessons ever since.
My time at Dancesport Carolina has been a blast! The instructors are very professional and can break any dance, whether it's waltz, rumba, foxtrot, cha-cha, tango, swing, hustle and mambo, into simple steps that anyone can follow. Despite the fact that I had no dancing experience whatsoever, I was able to learn both ballroom and latin dance well enough to compete at the Southern Paradise Ball (a local ballroom dancing competition) in May! Besides becoming a better dancer, I have made many new friends through the group classes in addition to becoming good friends with the instructors. The instructors are not only professional but encourage you every step of the way which makes the time at the studio that much more enjoyable and satisfying. There are many other benefits to dancing at Dancesport Carolina, but for me, perhaps the greatest blessing is the added confidence that I have gained as my dancing skills continue to improve (it is true that women really do appreciate a man that can dance!). In short, ballroom dancing at Dancesport Carolina has changed my life!

I highly recommend Dance Sport Carolina to anyone looking to learn how to dance. Even if you have never danced before, the studio is welcoming and eager to meet your needs. Not only do you learn how to dance, but you network with others who are also looking to meet new people. The first lesson is free, so you have nothing to lose! Try it and soon you will be saying what I say after each lesson, ?That was the best hour of my week!?

The entire staff at Dance Sport Carolina were all fantastic! My wife and I signed up to get ready for my brother's wedding and really enjoyed ourselves, Robert was great. The schedule was flexible and the instructors were professional. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a non-intimidating, fun atmosphere to learn some great dance moves. We'll definitely be back for more!

My husband got us lessons for our anniversary. I was hesitant at first but once we started, we loved it! Bradley, our instructor, is awesome. He makes it fun. He is extremely patient with those of us who lack coordination. I would highly recommend DanceSport Carolina.

I?m a guy that loves golfing, Pittsburgh Steelers football, NASCAR Racing and Ballroom Dancing?that?s right, I said Ballroom Dancing. In December of 2008 my wife and I decided that we would try Ballroom Dance to spend some more time together outside of our everyday, hectic lives. Now, only nine months later, going to private and group lessons is one of the highlights of our week. It?s probably hard for you to believe, because it is hard for us to believe, but in a very short period we have totally immersed ourselves in dancing and even won the ?Top Bronze? award in our first competition (Southern Paradise Ball). Elizabeth is our instructor and we feel like we have been blessed to learn from her?but it doesn?t matter what instructor you have at DanceSport Carolina, we have danced with them all and EVERY ONE is a true professional that makes dancing easier than you will ever imagine.
The way I see it you have a couple options. You can listen to your friends and coworkers who tell you that ?real guys don?t dance??.or you can try it and spend two to four nights a week holding your spouse, forgetting all the things that normally stress you out and getting closer to your partner than you have been in years. I know that we are glad we chose the second option and can?t wait for our next class.

Everyone at Dance Sport Carolina were very nice and professional to my daughter and myself. From the first moment we walked into the studio I felt like they were extremely knowledgeable about what type of classes my daughter would need. They took time to ask questions about previous dance classes and about my daughter's personality so they would be sure to put her with the right instructor, which really impressed me. They were always on time and easy to work with. Although financially we can not continue dance lessons at the time, we would definately return to Dance Sport Carolina in the future.

If you're looking for a ballroom dance studio then look no further; you've found the perfect place at DanceSport Carolina. Easy to get to location, beautiful studio and a fabulous staff! Bradley is my private instuctor and I couldn't ask for a better teacher. His passion for dance is quite contagious and he has unending patience. Just got my husband to take a couple of lessons with me, and now we're going to start taking couples lessons as well. In his words, "It's a very non-threatening environment and actually quite fun." Whether you're looking to learn social dancing, meet people, exercise, or want to compete, DanceSport Carolina covers it all!

I had 4 new trainers in under 3 months it was awful! The trainers don't hardly get paid (Even though I was paying an exorbitant amount) that's why they all leave. It's hard to learn anything when your trainer leaves every 3 weeks....
Young management that's all I can say.

I think the best kept secret in Charlotte is Dance Sport Carolina. Learning to dance through them is such a blast! At the beginning of this year, I was looking for an outlet to do something I enjoy and get some exercise. I began taking lessons with DanceSport in March and it was the best decision I made. I have SO much fun and every time I have gone to the studio, I walk out feeling great. My instructor, Tony, is wonderful, and I have learned so much from him. He challenges me and yet makes it fun. He also knows that I want to learn proper technique and he is always careful to make sure my moves are correct. He got me ready for first competition in May and now I'm hooked. In fact, all the instructors and staff know everyone on a first name basis. It is really nice to get greeted by my name when I come in each time, which demonstrates the personalized service DanceSport provides. Another positive about DanceSport is that they tailor instruction to an individuals' needs or wants. I chose ballroom and latin and wanted to have an opportunity to compete. I also chose private and group lessons and love both. The studio is not a one size fits all so you can do as little or as much as you want. There are young folks, older folks, singles and married. I have met and made new friends and have started a hobby that I absolutely love . This is just a GREAT experience and I would encourage anyone who is remotely considering this, to give them a call and try it out. You won't regret it! I promise!

We have taken lessons at other studios, but none have come close to DanceSport Carolina! Lessons are tailored to your ability and desire to learn. The entire studio works together to help you learn and develop your skills. Your instructor, other instructors and other students are always ready to help and encourage you. The quality of instruction is outstanding. Everyone is patient and encouraging and they always find a way to make difficult steps simple to learn. I can't believe how much we have learned and how fast we have learned it! But the best part of all is that we have fun!
