Rising Roll is a Charlotte sandwich shop preparing exceptional flavor combinations for guests who covet unique and hearty alternatives to the standard fare. Rising Roll began in Charlotte as Uptown Gourmet Sandwich Co. in 1996. In the end, it was the delicious and sophisticated sandwiches like "Killer Bleu Turkey" with crumbled blue cheese, bacon, tomato and 1000 Island dressing and "Spicy Crab," a baked crab cake topped with Chipotle mayonnaise, pepper jack cheese and coleslaw that solidified the Rising Roll difference and fueled the popularity. Rising Roll is a Charlotte sandwich shop consistently serving delicious meals based on homemade recipes with a taste for any occasion!
Rising Roll has a great selection of sandwich, salad, and soup options, making it a great place to go for lunch. Call ahead orders are an option, whether it's for a whole group or just for yourself. They have lots of healthy options, but beware if you get the BBLT - it comes with a 1/2 lb or more of bacon!

Rising roll provides fresh sandwiches. The sandwiches are made to order. You can get anything you want. The service is great. The employees do their best to remember you. The best part is their rewards program.

We love going to Rising Roll in the Ballantyne area! The restaurant is only open for lunch Mon-Sat. but it is well worth a trip! We always have consistently good food and friendly service. It is kid-friendly, and that is always a plus. The prices are a little high, but the food is made with quality ingredients, and there are an infinite number of sandwich choices. In fact, if you like spicy sandwiches, the Spicy Cuban and the Firecracker roast beef are two of my favorites! They also have a punch card, and if you go on Mondays or Wednesdays, it is double punch day. Great experience all the way around!

I ran into Rising Roll not knowing exactly what is on the menu to grab an assortment of bagels. Unfortunately, that wasn't there specialty so I struck out, but their menu looked delicious! If I didn't have a specific order, I definitely would've ordered breakfast for myself. The real point of this review, though, is to say that the management/owner went above and beyond the call of duty by offering to take me to a place that had the bagels I needed! He was so friendly and it was great to see that level of customer service. Anyone going here will be very pleased!
Pros: Very friendly service
Cons: None

I love this place. The chicken salad and potato salad are great. Oh and the tuna salad it is
just as good. The menu is awsome. The place is clean and the people are friendly.
My biggest problem I have are the hours. They are only open until 4:00 so I can't take my family there in the evening. The only day of the week that I can get there is Sat.
I would love to see longer hours and more stores in charlotte.

Rising roll is one of my favorite lunch places in Charlotte. The polite and friendly staff along with the super clean interior make for an enjoyable experience. All sandwiches are made from extremely fresh ingredients and you can taste it. Prices are reasonable and they have a sandwich club as well.
Pros: Excellent quality and service
Cons: A little on the expensive side

Rising Roll has a walk-up counter to order deli-style or more "gourmet"-style sandwiches, and once up at the glass counter, you can't help but notice all the fresh ingredients displayed in large bowls throughout the case ~ Avacado, Tuna Salad, Fruits, Vegetables, and condiments are piled high inside the refrigerated case. If you like a "good" sandwhich (high-end meats, fresh produce, good condiments, and Great Bread), then this is a great place. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 is because of the price. I don't mind an $8 sandwhich when the ingredients (and service) are so good, but I thought some might need to know it's more pricey than a down-scale "subway-type" lunch.

"Horrible service and bad management...we were there for 5 hours this evening ..."
