Their menu is unique. I have been there many time. You can choose from a variety of spices to be added to your sandwich. For a vegetarian they substitute the patty with a grilled mushroom cap. This is a great option. On Wednesdays they have a special on the sandwiches. Nice place to go for lunch. If it is hot their patio is a great place to eat.
Ba-da wings is just across my apartment. It is good place to hang out where you can play corn hole game and enjoy with drink. Beers are expensive than other place, I am not sure why was that. Also for watching game, I would not recommend this place as it is not spacious and also has less TVs.
If you're in the mood for wings in Raleigh, these are admirable. No real creativity just the usuals, with some zip. Some of the sauces were too heavy, maybe a little to many additives.
Pros: Good wings, nothing memorable
Cons: no atmosphere, plain bar
$2.50 draft beers at the attached bar--not just domestics, but Sweetwater 420, New Belgium Fat Tire, Guinness, etc. The wings were also awesome--I had BaDa Bing, not a real fan of super spicy!! The bar was popping and the outdoor area was entertaining--people were playing corn hole. All in all it was a wonderful experience!! Great place to go before catching a movie.
Pros: Awesome wings, service, beer specials
Cons: Small dining area, no moist toilettes
I have had 2 experiences with Ba Da Wings. Once I ate inside the restaurant--employees were helpful in helping me decide which sauce to get. I ate a rice bowl--don't remember what kind--but it was pretty good. Most recently, I ordered wings from them on their special jumbo wing night--for like $.50 per wing?--great value, but the wings were terrible. They arrived quickly, but all the sauce was running off. They were so greasy and none of the flavor penetrated them. I prefer my wings to be a little more crisp than these. Definitely won't be eating their wings again. Apparently they do have some great beer specials at "The Bar" next door.
Pros: Service, value
Cons: THE WINGS
A co-worker and I ordered from this place because we heard the food was good, alright when our food came she got honey mustard jumbo wings that were running the juice from the cooking oil and I must say that they did not look good and she said that they were just too greasy. I got the boneless wings honey BBQ flavor and I did not think they were good at all and I took them home and tried to give them to my family and they wouldn't eat them either. This was my first time ordering from them, so I decided to to try the cheesy french fry wrap, which was terrible and I showed it to the co-worker and she wouldn't taste it. I had to trash that because it was like a mashed potatoes not enough cheese and too much potatoe. I have yet wanted to eat there since this experience.
Cons: the food
Well I'm going to write a review for the store this ad is ACTUALLY for - the one on Avent Ferry. They have awesome food - we always go there on 50 cent jumbo wing nights and enjoy TONS of wings in lots of flavors. Their cajun cheesy fry wraps - the best thing EVER! The Bar is great, friendly staff, not too loud, and they serve all of the food as well as the drinks at The Bar. Keep up the good work!
Pros: Great Wings, good daily specials, friendly staff
Cons: when they are busy it takes food a while to get out of the kitchen to The Bar
My review is for the Chapel Hill store. Ba-Da Wings is not that good and they are pricey. Their wings and boneless wings are overcooked. The fries are horrible. Think frozen crinkle fries from the grocery strore. The cajun ones are the same crinkle fries with a spice sprinkled on top. The meal was so disappointing that we decided it wasn't worth the calories and stopped eating in favor of eating later.
Thank God Cluck-U finally came to Chapel Hill. The wings at Cluck-U are awesome.
Pros: can't think of one
Cons: location, bad fries, bad wings
