I have been going to Harmony since '93 and never worry about who will be available to cut or color my hair. Michael teaches all his staff well... best part is I'm always being complimented on my hair so am more than happy to recommend Harmony to everyone who asks.

My hair colour and cut was screwed up badly at SYNERGY SALON in Sycamore Commons a few months back. I saw the high light was too yellow, but couldn't define the real mistakes. The Harmony manager sat w/me for 20 mins and explained that SYNERGY made my blonde hi lite too much ash/too little gold (olive complexion) with this info I was able to go back to Synergy and explain precisely what they did wrong and got ALL MY MONEY BACK. I'll be back to see you, Harmony when I need colour again!

I recently had a facial by Scott and it was fabulous. The experience was relaxing and rejuvinating. I liked being able to select the scents used during the facial and attention to my skincare needs. It was wonderful to not fell rushed and have Scott's undivided attention as he applied the facial treatments. Will be back!

I left Harmony Salon pleasantly surprised and impressed. Starr did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations. Her understanding of what color and cut I was looking for was right on point. She also gave me some great suggestions about color maintenance and Aveda products without being pretentious or pushy. I left feeling that I had received terrific service and I highly recommend Starr to anyone looking for a stylist. Added bonus...the services here are more affordable than many other salons & they were very accommodating to squeeze me in on short notice as one of the last clients of the day.

I have been going to Harmony for many years for my hair and brow wax. Most recently, I have had my brows waxed by Scott on two separate occasions. This guy is amazing! He is a perfectionist and truly the best waxer out there.

I am new to Charlotte and tried this salon twice so far. Once for color - loved it. And another for a cut - loved that too! I received comments on my hair immediately afterwards by strangers on the street. I must agree, however, about the front desk. The first time I walked in, I almost walked right back out. The front desk was scowling and unfriendly and I really got this snobbish feeling from them. They barely spoke, really didn't smile, and I don't believe they even said thank you. The owner or manager (not sure which one he was) was very pleasant and friendly though. The front desk kind of ruins the whole pleasant, spa-like experience. They are the first ones and the last ones you see so it kind of strips away the great experience of the scalp massage, beauty treatment, hair style once you have to go past the front desk.

Yeah, they try to push products on you, but so does everyone - even the people in the mall kiosks or the service staff in restaurants. Everyone has something to sell so you just have to learn to say "no thank you".

I found Harmony to be a good quality salon - especially Amanda and Nicole.

After visiting Harmony for the first time recently, I have mixed emotions. The salon is in a beautiful shopping center and is spotless both inside and out. My initial reaction from the look of the salon was "class."

Staying on the positive note, I met with my new stylist and she was an absolute doll! She took the necessary time to discuss exactly what I was looking for an even made suggestions based on her experience. The best part was that I didn't feel rushed in any way. Even though I'm sure she was busy, she made me feel like I was her only client for the entire day. To keep this brief...my hair cut and color turned out absolutely wonderful! Even though I was nervous...as I always am getting my hair done...Amy (my stylist) was absolutely incredible! It is the best hair cut and color I've EVER had. Thanks so much Ms. Amy, you're a doll!

Now, on to the down side of my visit. When I first entered the salon, I was NOT greeted at all and actually felt like I was bothering the front desk girls. "Aren't I the customer?" In addition, after my service was complete, I felt very pressured to purchase the Aveda products. My stylist did inform me of the products she used on my hair and what products would benefit my hair style, which I thought was a great touch. BUT...several other people within the salon also tried to get me to buy products including those at the front counter. If I wanted to buy the products, I would have done so when my stylist mentioned them. I did not need to hear the sales pitch several times. Money is tight for everyone right now...buying additional products isn't always as easy as one would like.

Overall, I loved the salon and think my new "bob" is great! I would suggest however leaving the sales pitch at the door and just being happy with those customers still spending extra $$ on "luxuries."

I visited this salon while on business. I found the prices to be high for the services given. I was very displeases by the pusy sales tatcitcs used to try to get me to buy over 200.00 in hair products. Needless to say they dont get the hint, no! The salon was clean- that is about the only good review I can give.

My daughter Emily and I LOVE visiting Harmony Salon! Everyone there is so wonderful. We love the fact that every person you speak with really listens to your needs and follows through with your requests. Of course they also offer suggestions which have never let us down. Another thing we love about the salon is that it is so clean! What a healthy environment...We have tried several AVEDA products (hair, skin....even the tea!) All of them are outstanding! Everyone there is very professional and goes out of their way to make you feel special....you really should to visit Harmony Salon & Spa!

I go to Blakeney often and decided to give them a try for a cut and high light.
When I got there they gave me a tour and was happy to see they do manicures and pedicures, they also do facials. The girl who did my hair was the best I ever had she went over everything she was going to do and
I agreed with what she sugested I wanted a change and now I feel beautiful! she even waxed my brows.
I love Aveda and found a new favorite The smooth prep makes my hair look and feel smooth and shine.
Thank you Heather I will be back for my hair and to try the facial you sugested!

I went to Harmony Salon on Rea road as I live close by and am new to the area so I decided to give them a try. the salon is beautiful and the staff were friendly. I had a hilite and cut and decided to get a manicure.
The shampoo was wonderful and I love my hair. they even gave me a mini massage!
I highly recomend them.

I was a client over at the Matthews location and stopped going because no one could color my hair right. I have since gone back (to the Blakeny location) and of course the girl I used to see is no longer there so I got stuck with someone new. To make a long story short I wanted my hair colored back to my natural look or as close as can be and I had RED hair. I hated it and called back the next day to get it redone. Now the bottom of my hair is darker than the top and it still looks red. I can't keep coloring it or my hair will fall out! I am not satisfied and I will NEVER go back to them again. How hard is it to color as requested? When I say no red, it means no red!!!!

I'm a real perfectionist about my hair, I don't usually let just anyone cut my hair. I decided after about a year of having my hair stylist stepmother do my hair to try out a new salon. Because this salon just opened up in the shopping center near my job I decided to try it. I adored the stylist I had and the haircut I recieved. She listened to what I wanted and asked questions to make sure whatever she did was going to be okay with me. I would most definately recommend this salon to anyone!

I was very disappointed with this salon and am surprised it has gotten the good reviews it has. My haircut was "choppy" and the final style looked dated and plain. Everyone wants to walk out of a salon feeling good about their hair and confident, but this day I just wanted to find a hair tie in my car to immediately put my hair up. I actually decided to call and tell them I was unhappy with the cut (a first for me) and ask if the stylist could even out a couple spots. When I went back she texturized it, which was the one thing I had asked her not to do the first time. I guess my overall complaint is that she just didn't listen to what I wanted and the skills don't match the feel of a nice, high-end salon like I had expected. I will say everyone working there was friendly, but still recommend trying somewhere else.

I had been a client of Harmony for a couple of years. I started out seeing Corey, and then he was let go, then I forget the name of the next stylist i saw, but she too was gone after I saw her for color one time. Finally, after seeing 5 different sylists in a 8 month span because they kept leaving or being let go i decided to go somewhere else. i did notice that the only stylists who remained were the senior ones whose rates are the highest!! i never got a bad cut or color when i went in but with consistency is important to me

Being a hairdresser myself, I was a bit on edge going into a new salon for a color and cut. Luckily for me I was given to Jennifer McElravy. She recently moved here from Raleigh and has years of experience. I felt at ease with her immediately. She spoke TO me, not to me from behind me into the mirror. I felt she understood my needs and wants perfectly. She is a color expert! My red was vibrant and even root to end, and my haircut grew out so nicely and styled well EVERYDAY! No more bad hairdays for me. I love Jennifer and will only see her from now on when I am in town. Keep up the EXCELLENT work.

They began my service with a mini massage to shoulders and head. Katie was my stylist. She colored and cut my hair and did a makeup application. She is fabulous! The ambience was perfect.

I love the service but I pay a different price for the same service everytime I go and I am not sure why.

Pros: Excellent products, skilled staff. Always happy with the results.

Cons: Since I have been going there for a long time, my stylist should have told me about the price increases. I went from paying 70.00 for a service to 95.00 for the same service in less than a year.

I had high hopes for an Aveda concept salon here in Charlotte. I've had my hair done several times at Harmony with mixed results. Heather gave me a good color job with highlights but after three haircuts I ended up with a "mullet" look. She kept cutting the same two layers, leaving me with one heavy upper layer and a stringy bottom layer. The color didn't last. The prices are high, and when they suggested an Aveda shampoo and conditioner as an add-on purchase, I said "ok" not realizing the stuff was $24 for each bottle! I guess I was expecting to pay 8-12 bucks a bottle like any other salon brand. Admittedly this was a "damage repair" product but since it was so much more expensive, I felt like they should have noted the price beforehand. As in "I recommend this for your hair...it's 24 each for the shampoo and conditioner." I don't expect Aveda to be cheap, but still!

Anyway I think the level of service you get here does not justify the prices. The salon is not plush; there are not enough places for waiting clients to sit. You are not offered a drink or anything. There is very little in the way of atmosphere -- music, furnishings, etc are all pretty downscale considering the prices they charge. There is an attempt at a concept with words like "Earth," "Inspire," etc over each mirror. But again, the atmosphere is about the same as any Regis salon in any mall. When you're spending $200 for a haircut and color, you should expect a certain level of pampering. The owner here is nice and the stylists are pretty good. I was really happy with a blowout I received from Katie. But overall disappointed in my color and cuts. Sorry to say it, but Harmony needs to upgrade the experience or lower their prices accordingly!

I've been to a lot of Salons in Charlotte and Harmony Salon is top notch!! Every time I walk out of there I feel and look like a new woman.

My wife and I had our hair done on March 19 we both enjoyed the complimentry massage before our service. Katie did my hair and it still looks great! the control paste she told me about is the best thing i have used on my hair. Cindy did my wife's color and she absolutly loves it. She was treated to a make up service and Rodney did a great job. The service was first rate they schedlued our appiontment 6 weeks out so we could get in together. We will definately recomend Harmony to our friends.
