It seems like every time we eat at the Moose Cafe, the service is slow and the food isn't that great. I always think things will be better next time and its not.

The Moose Cafe is one of my most favorite places for southern food and hospitality. They are always great with my 1 year old who tends to leave biscuit trail. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is family friendly. I also love and appreciate the fact that the produce is local and comes from the farmers market. On Sundays the church crowd is fierce so I suggest going before noon or after 2:00. Be warned if you order the special you can not take your leftovers home even if you skip the seconds. The chicken and dumplings is my favorite thing to eat there. My husband swears by the hamburger steak. We enjoy the Moose and you will too!

The Moose is okay, but not my favorite spot for down-home cooking. Most of the local folk eat here...and I highly recommend their breakfast fare. But, for lunch and dinner, I'd venture elsewhere.

I love going to the Moose Cafe for breakfast. They have the best biscuts and apple butter, that are both freshly made at the restraunt. You can never go away from there hungry. We seem to always have leftovers to take home. The servers are all friendly down to earth people, who go out of their way to help the customers.
