.

I had a small move from an apartment on 3rd floor (tough move with angles) to a 2nd floor apartment. I don't have a lot of stuff but did have a few heavy items.

Pro's: Movers were very polite and I felt just fine being there alone with them.

Cons and Other Info:
45 minutes late (not a huge deal);
didn't wrap furniture that well and dinged it up a bit, my couch and mattress are now dirty. The good news is, I dont' have nice stuff, so I am not too worried about it. Plus I am buying new soon. Not a big deal to me could could be to others with newer stuff.

I'm pretty sure two of the guys were day laborers (which is fine) and hadn't moved furniture for a living. I was fine with that since everyone needs to earn a living, but they lacked experience and clearly hadn't worked together before.

Also, someone dinged up the wall in my old apartment bedroom and then removed the debris and didn't even tell me it happend. I noticed it the next day when I went to spackle nail holes and saw an entire corner edge off (down to the metal). It would have been nice if someone told me it happened.

Really odd situation: It was $80 per hour and took 3 hours (exactly) though the head guy tried to tell me it took 4, which it didn't. I paid the $240 (3 hours) and then gave them each a $20 tip because the move out of the old apt was very hard. I had left the contract in the car and honestly forgot about the $45 truck fee. Remember that I had just happily paid an extra 60 bucks in tips, so do you think I would try to scam them out of $45? It's a move. It costs money and I accept that.

Well, about an hour later, I believe the owner called and started yelling at me for not paying the $45 truck fee (which I did legitimately owe and didn't deny). I was trying to talk to him about if I should just pay it over the phone, mail a check or how to handle it but he kept interrupting and yelling at me like I was a criminal and said they would be by to get the cash immediately. I hung up on him for being so unprofessional and rude. I think he could have handled the situation differently, especially since I didn't deny owing it and told him I had left the paper in the car.

I was nothing but nice to his employees yet was treated like a criminial for honestly forgetting to pay an additional fee. You would think someone in the "moving" business would understand how frazzled people who move can be and be little bit more understanding. Secondly, it was up to his employee to collect the accurate amount of money so if anyone should have been "in trouble" it would be him. Not me. I'm the customer.

I don't recommend this company. There are others online with better reviews. (Somehow I miseed that earlier).

If you value your belongings and don't want to burdened with excessive moving costs, stay away! Very slow and sloppy work. Small truck will require several trips back and forth if moving anything more than a small apartment. The time they spend going back and forth will cost you - slow, slow, slow. Finished the job ourselves due to unprofessionalism and slow pace of workers and management. Observed them drop many boxes and appliances. Many broken and chipped items that they will not take responsibility for. Told us our expectations were too high.
