Despite few disappointments with Lucky 32, my wife and I, tired after a long drive back to Cary, went again to this restaurant, just for a light late dinner, since it is the only place that is open late in our neighborhood. Knowing Luck 32 our expectations were low but we did not expect to have such a bad experience.
In order not to take risks I ordered Hamburger and my wife ordered what sounds as a good option - shrimps with polenta in a creamy source.
Both dishes were uneatable.
I have never eaten such a poor hamburger and French fries in a restaurant of any scale. I could not finish the bland dry piece of what seemed to me as the lowest quality of frozen hamburgers.
The tiny Shrimps, bottom quality of tasteless rubber pieces, were drowned in a large amount of a horrible creamy sauce. The sauce covered completely a piece of an uneatable polenta and few shrimps. The taste of this concoction was horrible. We always thought that Lucky 32 owners are masters of food faking by serving sub par food under the cover of a pretentious casual sophistication (seasonal, regional, and other restaurant buzzwords) in a contemporary settings. It seemed to us that the large amount of the creamy sauce was intended to create an illusion of a generous shrimp dish while, in fact, the dish was composed of a cheap creamy sauce, a lousy polenta (yes, even the polenta was bad) and few poor tiny shrimps to justify the name of this fake dish.
Never again.
Pros: Open late, Decor
Cons: Bad food
