they are the highest priced alarm company when comparing to other companies for the exact same services . When I went to cancel they used many many scare tactics to try and convince me I was making a bad decision and they were the best and

I shopped around and found CPI to be the best bang for your buck and they are a NC based business not corporate. Mike Moffit is who I worked with 919-669-8144 mmoffit@cpisecurity.com and he was a pleasure to work with. On time for the meeting, was flexible and very honest about what we really needed as far as equipment was concerned. He didn't try and sell me on something I didn't need. After 6 months of using there service I am very happy with CPI security and highly recommend them to anyone.

Just had a near-terrible experience with CPI before we even had the service installed.

Local salesman came to the house and gave us the spiel. We decided to go with CPI for several reasons, and then when the topic of deposit payment came up, my wife and I explained that we didn't have the money in our bank account at that time because we had just spent so much on moving into our first house. Xxxxx was quick to assure us that it wasn't a problem at all, and that he understood completely. He promised that he would hold the check until the date of installation, which we scheduled for 3 weeks out when we would have plenty of money for the costs. There was an explicit understanding between the 3 people there that the deposit check would be held until then.

A few days later I checked my bank account to find that I was severely overdrafted because the check was cashed. The situation was about to ruin our finances for the entire next week, and I was furious. When I spoke with the sales manager for the area, he informed me that he would not authorize a refund of any of the overdraft fees caused by Xxxxxx' actions because Xxxxxx told him that he didn't remember this part of our discussion.

Basically, I felt like Xxxxxx told us anything he could to make the sale and then disregarded his promises to his customers and did the opposite of what was agreed. And then his manager backed him up without a moment's hesitance.

I was beginning to feel that resolution was hopeless until later on I got a personal call from the sales director at headquarters, who was apologetic and laid out options for setting this straight.

Moral of the story is when you have an issue, take it to the right people at the top.

I have done alot of shopping for home security and found that CPI is the best choice and value with the quality of their equipment and installation, and the amount of equipment they included. Their customer service is quick to respond and courteous. The security consultant was professional and knowledgeable. The two way voice microphone/speaker is extremely nice since I dont have to be home or get to the phone for CPI to confirm if their is a burglar in my house. They included fire, burglary and medical monitoring for a very reasonable monthly price of 36.95 which was $9.00 lower than ADT. I encourage anyone interested to check out their website and video demonstration of the Real Time Response system.

I have met many CPI customers who were very satisfied with their service for 5-15 years, so I am sticking witht CPI. If I move within North or South Carolina they provide a free security system in my next home.

My Family has been with CPI for 7 years, durring that time we have had no issues. However 6 months ago we switched to Digital Phone. At that time we began to experience issues, we had to have workers out atleast once a month, often times multiple times within a month. We finally had enough of paying for a service we couldn't use. We contacted CPI to cancel Service, they scheduled someone to come get the motherboard from our box. When Tim Cogdill came he offered us a better deal if we would give them the opportunity to rectify the situation, and said he sometimes just left the board. The following day I called and told him we were moving to another Security company. He was curt with me from that point on said he had to get the motherboard and that I had to sign a notice of cancelation. When the new Alarm system came out, we found out our motherboard was literally cut out , all the wiring had to be retraced. In addition power had been left to the wires that were cut, which was a potential fire hazard. After the attitude I recieved choosing to change companies I would never work with CPI again, and I will strongly discourage any ffreinds from choosing a company that would act so unprofessionally.
