I employed True Power at the beginning of this summer to replace an existing breaker panel as well as some rigid conduit and was quite pleased with their overall perfomance. It was a little difficult to arrange an initial estimation with them due to their business volume, but afterwards, there were no additional hang-ups. Their estimation was reasonably accurate, (as much as an estimation can be) and their pricing was better than fair. Most notable was that they cleaned up after themselves extremely well, a rarity among contractors. If you prefer to hire local companies over corporations, this is a good one.

PROS: Reasonably accurate, fair and clean work site
CONS: Nothing major

I hired True Power for an addition on my older house. The service manager was professional and clearly explained to me what needed to be done so the room would be wired properly and would pass inspection. The estimate was accurate and the job was completed in a timely manner. I would definitely hire True Power again, and I have already recommended them to friends.

I first hired True Power to run wiring and install lights on my new patio (thanks to Hurricane Fran). Work was done quickly, and no problems ever with this outdoor lighting. A year later, I started losing power in my house and found that the outside electrical panels had to be replaced. It was an emergency, in summer, with my cousins from California visiting. True Power quickly found new panels, coordinated their installation with Progress Energy, and saved the day! I've since used them for replacement lighting, including cutting in new can lights in my family room. I have always been glad to recommend them to my friends. I am glad they will be working with my contractor when I remodel my kitchen this Fall.

PROS: Reliable, professional, fair pricing
CONS: None

I am a realtor and hired true power to do several different electrical jobs for my clients. They actually came at the appointment time and did the work fast. I wasn't able to be there but I was able to trust them with my clients. My clients were very very pleased. I would refer them to anyone.

PROS: Proffesional and on-time
CONS: none

Hired to rewire my 1950's ranch for a renovation. They had no clue how to do renovation work. Very inexperienced. It cost me several thousand dollars to have another electrician fix the damages caused. To top it off then True Power Electric sued me for the 1600 dollars I held back for poor quality work on a 10000 bill. The great part is they won due to the fact that I wouldn't let them come back and mess up my house any more. I guess it was worth it to keep these people away from my house!

PROS: none
CONS: everything they did was terrible

Business Response:

Former Client lost in court This former client of ours was upset that we billed him for the job. He refused to pay. We sued him in small claims court. He lost and was ordered to pay for the bill of service. He is simply disgruntled.
