Acupuncture treatment works for hypothyroidism
by fletch115
I started going to Cindi for treatment after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My TSH levels were elevated. Leery about taking thyroid medications, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I?m so glad I did!
People ask me if acupuncture works. Yes it does! My TSH levels are now in the normal range. I feel much better and have more energy. My moods even improved.
However, you must realize that going the acupuncture route is a commitment. You have to commit to a schedule of treatments and make dietary/lifestyle changes. It was well worth it, I feel great.

Acupuncture-great for your body and mind
by geraldodukes
I want to first say that not in a million years would I have believed that acupuncture would help my problem. Cindi is knowdlegeable, professional, caring and above all wonderful. The treatment that I am getting is for my back. I have tried physical therapy and chiropractic therapy and neither worked for me like acupunture has. It is awesome! Cindi cares about her patients and knows how to make you relaxed and comfortable. Seeing Cindi has been one of the best things that I have ever done for my back and body. If you have a problem with any part of your body, acupunture may help you. What an amazing feelilng for my body, mind and soul.
Pros: Helps with pain

Life changing treatments, caring practitioner, relaxed setting...
by lnwilliford
I began seeing Cindi 3 weeks ago after researching acupuncture treatment for allergies, eczema, chronic rhinitis and sinusitis. I have suffered with horrible nasal allergies my entire life and have taken numerous prescriptions to work on the symptoms, but nothing really treated the problem. The eczema/skin rashes had recently gotten worse and i was an itchy mess who could basically only breathe through one nostril or my mouth. AFter the consultation I began working on the dietary changes and Cindi suggested once weekly acupuncture treatment. I noticed a difference after the first treatment. Driving home I realized I could easily and clearly breathe through my nose. I was so excited. My skin rash has all but disappeared and the bouts of itching are almost non-existant. The discovery of Cindi and the Acupuncture and Wellness center is life changing for me. I have discontinued use of a nasal steroid because of the outstanding results. I am sleeping better, have more energy and do not feel tired during the day like before. The office setting is very relaxing as is the treatment itself. Cindi is knowledgeable and caring...she knows her stuff.
Pros: Caring practitioner, effective treatments, relaxing setting, thorough health assessment
Cons: i doh't even have one...i drive in from out of town and that is worth it

Acupuncture is Awesome
by awb84
Cindi introduced me to acupuncture and I'm so glad she did. It is one of the most wonderful things I've ever done for myself and she has helped me so much. I use to have very bad headaches all the time and sinus problems and acupuncture treatments really reduced the frequency of the headaches and when I was getting regular treatments, the headaches went away completely. I also suffered from carpal tunnel in my wrist and it was so bad that I could not even lift my car keys without being in extreme pain. Cindi gave me specific acupuncture treatments for carpal tunnel for a few months and it COMPLETELY HEALED. It is amazing. Sadly I moved away from the Cary area and no longer get acupuncture from Cindi, but I highly recommend that everyone try it. She is great and really helps out her patients. I am going to continue to get acupuncture treatments to maintain health for the rest of my life.
Pros: cares about patients, good listener, acupuncture treatments are wonderful

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!
by KMMorris1
The Acupuncture & Wellness Center is just wonderful! Cindi genuinely cares about her patients and goes out of her way to give them the best treatment possible. She spends an hour getting to know your medical history and current conditions and then sets you up with a treatment plan that is appropriate for your condition. I know many people that have had great results with her. I also suggest seeing her just to maintain your health! To first time Acupuncture recievers, do not be afraid. It doesn't hurt and Cindi makes sure you are comfortable throughout the treatment.
Even if you don't live in Cary, it's worth the drive. If you see Cindi, you won't regret it and your body will thank you!

Very attentive care and unbelievable results.
by weychonk
I twisted my back about 4-5 months ago and resulted to severe pains on my legs and knees. Driving was hurting me, watching TV on the sofa was unbearable b/c of the weird throbbing and shooting pains on my legs. Went to the Chiropractor - they healed my back but told me that my other pains would go away. Nope, it didn't. Went to an orthopedic center, and they told me that the pains can go away with certain exercises, but it will take some time. Did exercises for a couple of months, didn't see even the slightest result.
So I checked out Acupuncture with Cindy and she spent about 45 minutes asking me about my health in general. I don't think I've actually met with any doctor who spent that long asking me about how I sleep, what I eat, warm/cold preferences, etc. I definitely learn about myself a lot more with just sitting through that first 45 minutes.
Long story short, after the 4th visit (I did once a week), my knee and leg pains COMPLETELY went away. Cindy also told me that I need to avoid a certain type of foods to make sure the pains do not come back.
In summary, I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a very experienced and attentive acupuncturist. The whole place where she practices is also very relaxing.

Great customer service! Great results!
by 8Linda
I started having frequent reactions to any strong odors such as cleaning solutions/perfumes etc. Symptoms included headache and severe coughing spells. Several physician visits, allergy testing and medication were unsuccessful. I decided to try accupuncture and went to Cindi. It was a great experience, a very professional calming environment. I have experienced tremendous success with these reactions after only a few treatments and have also experienced an overall feeling of wellness. She does a thorough exam and really spends time to understand your health problems. I will continue to see her and have referred several close friends as well.
Pros: Great results

A very pleasant experience
by pinkbarbie
I would highly recommend Cindi Fox Kemp and her wellness center for anyone suffering from a number of issues. The intitial consultation is very extensive and thorough so that a treatment plan can be established. She takes care and time to determine the best plan of action. A variety of modalities are usually recommended which include treatment, supplements, and/or chinese herbs, etc. The treatment success is a partnered responsibility and I find myself taking her words into serious consideration. I have made a few beneficial life/diet changes that have completely aided in my health. The results were almost immediate. Based on her recommendations, I have noticed a considerable amount of benefit for my particular case. Sometimes the results are instant (post treatment) and sometimes more long term, so you should give it some time and have a realistic approach about the plan. Her practice is extremely busy. Because of this, I suggest making appts. well in advance. The pricing structure is very fair for her services. While it could get costly for extensive/numerous visits, it is well worth it.
The office is always calming and relaxing no matter the traffice flow and she always asks questions to make sure you are comfortable. The professionalism and knowledge provided by her can not be beat! I have recommended her suggestions and her services to other people and I think most anyone could benefit in some way by her treatment no matter what the case.
Pros: Clean, calm office. Professional, thorough, and attentive practitioner.
Cons: Hard to get later and frequent appt.s due to busy practice.

Acupuncture & Wellness Center, Dr. Cindi Fox Kemp
by Mirinda
In early 1990, and for no apparent reason, I began to randomly have violent stomach attacks, and each time, would be deathly ill for at least three days. For fifteen years, and to no avail, I desperately sought help from numerous physicians, and gastroenterologists; all the while, the attacks were growing more frequent. Not only had I begun to fear that the attacks would eventually cause my demise, I had become afraid to eat, or to travel.
In 2005, I placed myself under Cindi's care; the frequency and severity of my attacks began to diminish with my first acupuncture session, and after approximately a year of acupuncture, herbal supplements, and being made aware of the foods/beverages to avoid, I no longer live in dread of the debilitating attacks. I encourage everyone to try acupuncture, and for the squeamish, the needles do not hurt. I am deeply and eternally grateful to Cindi for restoring my health and making me whole again.

Amazing treatment
by RoV
I started seeing Cindi Fox Kemp in April 2006. I originally started seeing her for nerve pain and numbness in my left arm and sciatica in my left leg. Western medicine could not find the cause of the nerve damage in my arm, documented with a nerve conduction test, and I was slowly losing use of my arm. The sciatica seems to be caused by a bulging g disc in my spine. I was too young for surgery and the only alternative western medicine offered me was muscle relaxers which left me sluggish and gave me headaches. When I went online and looked up treatments for the bulged disc, Acupuncture was listed as the best treatment. Within one month of seeing Cindi twice a week, I had no pain in my arm or leg, and had full use of my arm again.
I now see Cindi every other week and have been absolutely amazed at all my other health issues that acupuncture has helped. Cindi did not stop with the nerve pain and sciatica. When she first took my history, I was on 5-6 medications for such things as allergies, chronic sinusitis, acid reflux and GERD, among others. I no longer need any medications for acid reflux, GERD, allergies or chronic sinusitis. I haven?t seen a western doctor for anything except regular checkups in two years. I have never felt this good.
Cindi is a wonderful, caring and fun practitioner. I feel not only well cared for, but cared about. I am so glad I found her to treat me.
Pros: Amazing treatment

life-changing
by wbl
I was desperate for help! My problems started in April 2007 when I started having dizzy spells every day for 2 months. It had gotten to the point where I stopped driving for two weeks. Along with the dizziness I was experiencing panic attacks, numbness in my forearms and hands, lose of my sense of direction, memory and recall. I had a dull headache for a at least a month. I would have episodes where I was startled very easily. There were times where I could not focus on anything. My periods became sporadic and I felt like my body was "drying up". I became increasingly depressed and could not handle the least amount of stress. Finally, I went to a doctor and he said my tests were normal. I went to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor thinking that maybe I had an inner ear infection but I didn't. Then I went to a Neurologist who gave me a MRI. That turned out normal as well. He told me that I was having classic symptoms of migraines. He put me on medicine but the dizzy spells continued. When my period was late I realized that maybe I was going into menopause. I called my doctor and he put me on an anti-depressant telling me that it would help even out my mood swings. The medicine caused more panic attacks. I knew I had to take other measures to find a cure. I found my answer in a form of treatment that I had always heard about but was very weary of because it involved needles. I started with Dr. Cindi Kemp in June. She was kind and intelligent. She listened, asked questions, and took notes. I felt like she really cared about my well-being. I started treatments that day. I felt very relaxed for the first time in months. After the 2nd treatment, I felt like the flood gates had opened up and my "dryness" disappeared. By the 3rd treatment I decided (on my own) to discontinue my medication. It is now November and I see Dr. Kemp twice a month. I'm 46 and feel like I'm 25! I'm basically problem free! Dr. Kemp is fantastic!! I highly recommend her.

Reclaim your health!
by baconandeggs101
Going to Cindi at the Acupuncture and Wellness Center is the best decision I ever made. I heard about her through a SAS health fair so I knew she was probably good and for sure met all licensing requirements. She is fantastic. Very professional and caring and the results have amazed me. Acupuncture helps your body find its way back to health. I feel ten years younger and am starting to look it, too. If your nervous about acupuncture I encourage you to try it for a month before you write it off. You'll be astonished at the benefits. You can ease those nagging aches and pains, digestion problems, sleep problems, and such that your doctor doesn't know what to do about!
Pros: Wonderful alternative approach to wellness.
Cons: You might feel a little achy the next day like you've had a deep tissue massage.

Sinus Headache ? Anxiety ? Acid Reflux
by towzone100
I looked into acupuncture as a treatment for my sinus headaches after trying everything else. I came across Cindi and her practice Acupuncture & Wellness Center after doing some research on the net. My first impression of Cindi was very positive. I was very impressed with the information provided on her website but more importantly I was blown away by Cindi?s thorough health assessment. She looks at all aspects of your health beyond your primary complaints. My primary complaints were sinus headache, anxiety and acid reflux. My sinus headaches were borderline migraines and my anxiety was internal which in itself was causing other health issues including reflux.
Cindi started my treatment off with two treatments twice a week for four weeks. My headaches were just about eliminated after my second treatment. My four week treatment has ended and my headaches are long gone, my anxiety is minimal and acid reflux has been eliminated. More important is what I call the ?bonus factor? of Cindi?s treatment. I feel great, I have more energy, and I sleep a lot better than I have in a very long time. I still continue treatment with Cindi working on other goals.
My only regret is not having the time it takes to go five days a week for treatment. If you haven?t considered acupuncture you should and if you do visit the Acupuncture & Wellness Center. You will not regret it.

Pros: Outstanding service and care
Cons: Not going sooner.

One of the best decisions I have made!
by tlhglover
I am a new patient of Cindi's and have already experienced positive results. I sought Cindi's assistance with hypertension and wellness. After the second visit, my BP dropped to within normal limits. The atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. Cindi makes you feel welcome - like visiting a good friend. My experience has been very positive and rewarding. I encourage you to make an appointment with Cindi - you will not regret it. The only regret I have is not seeking Cindi's help earlier.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Care, Value
Cons: None

Excellent Acupuncturist
by tcate
I have been a patient of Dr. Cindi Fox Kemp's since 2005. My experience with her has been extremely positive. Besides providing non invasive stress relief and a sense of balance, acupuncture treatment has helped me with more complex challenges such as gastrointestinal issues, sinus congestion, shoulder pain, fertility issues, & as an aid to knee surgery rehabilitation. Dr. Fox Kemp looks at all areas of your life - diet, emotional health, activity level - and provides guidance in all aspects. She is a nurturer and natural healer. I feel lucky to have found her!

The needles do not cause discomfort if anyone is apprehensive about pain.
