Cuban food in downtown Asheville. Tasty and unique, very convenient to the Civic Center if you have tickets.

I have never been disappointed by a meal at Havana...great food, the closest to authentic Cuban that I have found in WNC...you won't be disappointed - portions are very generous...dont leave without having the Cuban coffee!! MMmmm...I think I'll go this weekend

Having lived in Miami previously, we get the need for a Cuban fix from time to time, and Havana's is the best in the area by far. While not wholly "authentic" across the board - I'd imagine some key ingredients are hard to come by here in the mountains - every dish i've had has been well made and as close to authentic as we can get here. The Cuban sandwiches are not quite as tangy as a Miami-made, but great on texture and taste otherwise. Empenadas are spot-on, and the Ropa Vieja is nicely seasoned.

The dining room is charming, overlooking the Grove Arcade if you're seated next to the windows. The staff has always been supremely friendly, and Ms Bonnie (the owner) is a blast to chat with if she's floating around the dining room.

Pricing is reasonable for Asheville and location, and I've not had trouble getting a table before.

If you're looking for a Cuban fix in Asheville, this is your spot.
