Just read all of your reviews. I've personally been to all of the Randy's Pizza locations and I can say hands down the location on Miami Blvd (just outside of Morrisville) has by far the best pizza AND customer service of any of them. You should check them out!

The reviewer before me thought that the service at Randy's wasn't great..but I don't know if they are at the right place! Every time I've been in there they have been kind to me and have always gone the extra mile if I needed something. Today, for a New Years Party, the Owner, Randy gave me 4 large pizzas for ten dollars cheaper than anywhere else (including New York Pizza) and is having it all ready and set for me to pick up. Randy's is THE PLACE for New York Style pizza and italian cuisine in the Cary/Apex area. 5 stars for Randy's!

Pros: Great food, great service, good location.

Cons: small eating area for customers who eat-in.

I love pizza. Period. So, upon moving to Morrisville (from Raleigh) I searched online for good pizza places. I happened upon Randys and the reviews were less than desirable but one evening while @ Harris Teeter my husband and I decided to try it out. It went a little something like this:

We walked in to a greeting from 2 super nice guys, one that I later learned was Randy. We chatted like we'd known each other for years...we weren't the only people in the shop either - about 7 other people. We mentioned that we love pizza but this was our first time. After we'd paid I asked my husband for $3 b/c I wanted an order of Garlic bread (SO GOOD!) and Randy said "naaa, it's on the house." Whoa! Was this the same place I read about online?

We left and they said they'd look for us again soon. As we walked out I jokingly said to my husband "well! I'm appalled, I'm posting a scathing review!"

We got home and had the BEST pizza in a LONG time. It was HUGE and only a medium and at $16 NOT a bad deal. I'm eternally impressed. They do deliver...as a matter of fact, my husband had a work dinner last night so I ordered Randy's delivery for myself :) WINNNNNER!

Pros: Excellent pizza, large menu. GREAT prices. Delivery. Nice owner. Parking. All fresh ingredients. EVERYTHING.

Cons: None that I have found.

.

Big pizza slices for an affordable price, but the pizza is subpar and the delivery service takes too darn long. If you have the patience for that then go for it. But if your in the area, may I sugest Georgina's, a little further down the road, with better pizza and faster service.

I do not know why this restaurant advertises that they can deliver. I live approximately 1 mile from this establishment yet every time I try to call for delivery they say it will take more than one hour to get our wanted food items. Whenever I?m quoted such an outrageous time I call their competitors who gladly get my order to me in 30 minutes. Not to mention, when I do enter the store, the guys behind the counter are generally rude and usually fighting with one another. It might be NY style pizza but, no thanks I don?t need a NY kind of dinning experience.

Randy's is the total package. My lovely bride - who also looks very ethic - loves the Garden Salad and its a great deal at just over $5. Not sure what limp wristed pizza joint "restaurant observer" is looking for, but Randy's is the real deal. Maybe you should stop over analyzing how you're treated and just fold up your slice and eat it. By the way, the wings rock, the slices rock, and the lunch combos are a super deal.

Be a man.........eat pizza @ Randy's.

I agree 100 % with restaurantobserver. I enjoy the food. Being from NJ\NY, it is very comparable to NY pizza. I have had issues with the service every time I've eaten there, dine it and take out. The guys behind the counter seem to have their own little fraternity and don't care about their customers. Here are two of the issues I've had with them: I placed an order for take out and they forgot the fried ravilios. I called and went back, they forgot to put it in the bag. No apoligizes, no acknowledgment that they screwed up. They made a comment when I left and started laughing. I didn't get to hear want they said and didn't care. The next time we ordered take out, 30 minutes went by and my wife went to pick it up. She got there and they mentioned they didn't even put it in the oven. When it showed she started to get a little frustrated and made a comment about their service, they started laughing and again was not apologetic and brushed her off. She cancelled the order and left. She mentioned to them she was going to write a bad review, they didn't care. It's a shame because the food is pretty good, but incredibly bad service negates its 10 fold. There are enough pizza restaurants in the area which seem to be comparable in food and alot better in service. I am going to try New York Pizza on HWY 55, the one in Harrison Square I liked when I was there last year.
If you like good pizza restaurant food, but like to be treated as a third class citizen, this is your place.

Ditto the last writer. Randy's is the best and if you are from New York you will feel like your home from the time you walk in. The pizza is about as close to New York as you can get here. We live in Raleigh and drive over to Morrisville just to get their pizza, passing many other pizza joints on our way. My three boys are pizza junkies and will only eat their pizza as well. My first trip had me hooked! In fact, I didn't make it home without slipping a piece out of the box for a bite in the car!

I'm writing this review in response to the other gentleman's complaints, because they run such a polar opposite to my own experience. In my opinion, Randy's is the best pizza and sub shop around this area. NY Pizza, where the gentleman is now planning on eating, is definitely a close second.

In regard to customer service, I don't think the prior gentleman read the atmosphere correctly. Does this joint offer southern hospitality? NO. But, it does offer the same service level you'd expect in any northeastern city, and particularly in a NYC pizzeria - from where most of the staff hail. They have always been courteous to me. What does that mean? Well, I dine at Randy's maybe once every couple of weeks at lunch time. The store can be moderately empty to madhouse full, and I still receive the same service level. Amazingly, they remember my name. When I order (from the bearded gentleman, or the short gentleman with glasses and Puma hat), I always receive a brief "what can I get you?" -- or just "whatchuwant?". Then - I order and usually sit down at a table. When my food is ready, they scream out the item I ordered, and I go pick it up as it slides at me across the counter. I then enjoy some wonderful, freshly cooked pizza or sub. After I'm done, I clean up after myself -- as everyone does.

I see people of all different ethnicities dining around me without complaint, or any different service level. You were required to pick up your order, because everyone does (though, I have on occasion seen them deliver to a table. But, like I said, they know me by name and have never delivered to my table). You were required to clean up after yourself, because everyone does. There is no bus staff employed here.

Bottom line, best pizzeria in the local area -- with typical service. I'm willing to bet no one at NY Pizza delivered an order to your table, or cleaned up your mess.

If you want that level of service for pizza, go to Daniels.

I'll start with the positive by saying that the pizza is good. That's where it ends as far as my personal experience. There where customers before me and after me but not in succession) and I observed how the staff treated each of us. For some reason I was snubbed when spoken to, no greeting, barely any eye contact. I was pleasant and courteous when placing my dine-in order but could not understand the negative attitude. I handed my card for payment and in return it was thrown on the counter (I still left a 15% tip). While waiting for our order, other dine-in customers had their food brought out to them. When my orders was ready, they yelled out what was ordered so we had to go to the counter to pick it up each time. Mind you that it was NOT busy (no one was in line to order). A little background on my group (3 Caucasians and two Asian Americans, few would say I look Hispanic).
It was difficult to sit and enjoy the food but it did give me the opportunity to observe more of their positive interaction with other customers to affirm my conclusions.

My RTP company of over 800 employees will no longer patronize or sponsor food from Randy?s Pizza on Davis Drive. Obviously courtesy to all ethnic groups is not equal, even in a diverse community such as Morrisville/Cary. As we left, we cleaned up after ourselves. May not be a common occurrence but nonetheless, it is what I experienced from the short gentleman with the glasses behind the counter who wore a PUMA cap and once is one too many. Will patronize New York Pizza on HWY 55 from this day forward. I?m sure they will appreciate the business.

Success of a business does not solely rely on the quality of the product, but also customer service. Hopefully they will understand and learn to treat EVERYONE equally. Like I mentioned in the beginning, the Pizza is good.
