I have been to alot of Spa's and Tanning place in my lifetime. I work in the North Hills area, and I was walking by one day and I noticed Planet Beach Contempo Spa. I have never heard of a contempo spa, so I went inside and from the first second I walked through that door, they treated me with the best care, and made me feel like family. I was interested in the teeth whitening, as well as thier hydration station. They have something call the triple spa experience, and can I say that I have never felt so pampered in my life. I have never really heard about the hydration station, or their whiter image teeth whitening. Those spa associates went out of their way to make me feel confortable about my experience. I even made an appointment to come in later that week, but I forgot, but they even called me, to make sure I was doing good, and to rebook me for an appointment. I like how they take the guess work out of everything, so all I have to do is go in, relax and take my mind off of everything else. I want everyone to go by and just take a break and relax, it will be the biggest treat you'll give yourself.

Worst Tanning bed ever! Horrible bussiness ethics, Does not care about clientale. Inconsiderate and would never work with them agian!

I'm a Regional Director over six apartment communities throughout the Raleigh/ Durham area. I have worked with the North Hills/ Raleigh, and South Square/ Durham Planet Beach locations on many events for a while now. Residents from all of my communities rave about this place, and say that they wouldn't go anywhere else. They love the clean atmosphere and the way their outstanding staff treats them, you know just like family. I'm so excited that I have communities all around these locations, it good for me when traveling from location to location because I'm able to tan and receive spa services at these location. It nice to see people that enjoy their jobs, and you can feel that when you first walk in. I think something as small as receiving a Thank You card in the mail from Planet Beach just shows, me and everyone else that they really do care about their customers. I have been a member of Planet Beach Spa for about 3 years now. I have been a member at the South Square location in Durham, N.C. until recently when I moved to the North Raleigh area for work. Since moving to the North Raleigh area it is more convenient for me on my lunch break to go to the North Hills location. I have extremely enjoyed the outstanding customer service I have received while receiving services at these locations. The manager over their named Candace is a very caring and knowledgeable individual that provides the best customer service that anyone can ask for. When I first started out as a member at the South Square location, me and a couple of girlfriends went in just for a spray tan, and ended up becoming members. I have never been more satisfied with the service I've received by Candace and her employees at all three of her locations. I like being a member at a place that I feel important, and being a member at Planet Beach has been a worthwhile experience for me. Some people might assume that Spa's only have employees that try to get you in and out the door as quick as possible, but the entire caring staff walked me step by step through the process of getting the best out of my experience. I was giving an exciting tour of the spa, and was surprised to see how far spas have come since I was in college. If I have ever had a question about the spa services, spa products, and other random questions, they took the time to help me understand what was best for the outcome I was looking for. I suggest that if anyone is looking for a great place to relax and enjoy themselves, I would say that the Planet Beach in North Hills and Brier Creek, In Raleigh and South Square in Durham are a great place to go. I was nervous at first only because I have not gone to a place like this is 5 years; I have enjoyed their new modern technology, their outstanding staff, clean environment, and my outstanding results. I would not introduce this spa to my co-workers, family, and friends if I thought that their experience was not going to be good. Everyone that I have invited to go with me, or people that I sent over there, cannot stop talking about this place. This place makes you feel like you are a celebrity at spa in Florida or California.

THE WORSE EVER!! six forks is new and is without a doubt the poorest run tanning salon i have EVER been in. Staff hates people in general. They make you feel like you ruined their day by just showing up especially the owner shes sketchy. I hated it. Its depressing. They do not appreciate your business. Go somewhere else! Im glad to be finished here. Live and Learn!

I have been to several planet beaches throughout the US and I can tell you this one is a disgrace to the Planet Beach name. The lady that owns this place is snooty as all get out. Man, she is rude and she will say whatever she needs to say to get your business but let me tell you, you better get it in writing. if it sounds too good to be true, it is. I was taken and mislead too but never again. Other locations were great i still go to planet beach just not this one.

I felt like a star when I came to Planet Beach at North Hills. The staff is really sweet and helpful. There are several different types of tanning beds, and they will show you each one and help determine what is right for you.

I always lay in the traditional beds and then do a Mystic Tan. There are Sirius satellite receivers in each room, so you can bring your own headphones and listen to great music while you tan. The prices are comparable to other chains and the location is great - right outside of North Hills shopping center!

Ive tanned at the location on Falls of Neuse, Edward Mills and North Hills and North Hills is obviously the best. The people at Falls are rude, Edward Mills never has any beds available and North Hills is amazing. The staff there is so friendly and informative and Ive never had a bad experience there and it's actually a bit cheaper than the location at Falls.

I won a gift certificate to Planet Beach. I used it to tan and felt like someone was coming into the room the entire time I was in the tanning bed. They must have thin walls there so you hear the doors closing in the rooms close to you. At least I hope. The employees seemed to be annoyed that I was using a gift certificate.

I really like the spray tan here. I can walk in usually without an appt. and have a very short wait. The facility is very clean and the people are friendly. I have learned to cover my feel with the cream before the session starts and that helps me get even results.

I am a Mom of 4 and am very very busy. I found this little store called Planet Beach the other day. I drop my kids off at school then go enjoy their relaxing steam massage bed, revitalize my face (yup, I was getting some wrinkles and this is helping a great deal) and then I get some color in their spray booth. Takes about 30 minutes.....I wish I could stay longer! I come out feeling and looking so much better. I am ready to take on the world. I find the staff knowledgeable and very friendly. It's also very affordable. LADIES YOU GOTTA CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!

I recently gave the North Hills Planet Beach a try since we live in the North Hills neighborhood. It was my first encounter with the Mystic Tan experience and I arrived at the store expecting to be greeted with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Boy was I wrong. I wish I had read a prior review on the website because it was dead -on! I was greeted with a very unfriendly staff of three ladies preoccupied with their social chitter chatter. The tall blonde at the register barely gave me the time of day and she seemed incredulous that I had so many questions (of course I was a new customer and unfamiliar with the Mystic Tan experience). She was very matter of fact, took my money, showed me the booth- then got out as fast as she could. I was pleased with the results of the spray-on tan but will take my business elsewhere - there are other Planet Beach salons in the area. In this economy, these services are a luxury and customers expect "service with a smile" for their money. Hopefully the owner who posted a response will clean house and spend some time cultivating a more cheerful and enthusiastic staff!

I've been tanning indoors on and off for about 16 years. I had never heard of planet beach until one opened in north hills. It is very clean and the beds are AWESOME~~~ The staff there is just incrediable, very personable and they know their stuff! I feel welcomed everytime I tan there. By the way, the memberships are the way to GO!! It's about time North Hills.

I went in on a lark; I was shopping around the corner @GNC and noticed a free coupon for Planet Beach, and went there directly. The staff was nice, funny and engaging. They were exrtremely thoughtful and thorough in explaining the differences between what they had to offer, and what most tanners typically expect. I LOVE this place. It's a little bit pricey, but they'll work with you, and the results I got from just *one* visit were beyond compare, period. Dudes, there are coupons on their website NOW! Take advantage of a freebie and be prepared to be WOW-ed!

I live minutes from this North Hills location and I was thrilled when I found out they finally opened.. I walked in very open minded so I wasnt exactly look for faults, they just kind of jumped out at me. The girls there are not friendly at all, period. Everytime I have gone in there they are either on the phone or laughing hysterically. I'm not saying they shouldn't be having a good time but when a customer walks in I expect to be their first priority but clearly that is not the case. I know a few women who have been to this Planet Beach and I've heard nothing but negative comments about the customer service, ambience, and prices. This place has not only lost me as a customer but also the women I know that have given this place a shot.

I have been tanning for the better part of 11 years, in various locations. Planet Beach North Hills is a little more expensive than other tanning salons, but it is a thousand times better too. The beds are so amazing, the customer service is great, and this is the best tan I have ever had without the help of natural sunlight. I'm advising anyone who is even remotely curious to give this place a shot. It is beyond worth the money folks!

I live near North Hills and visit the shopping center on a daily basis for one reason or another. For the longest time I wondered why a tanning salon has never come in and low and behold, North Hills finally has it. I have been driving 15-20 minutes to another salon, just because it was the closest one around. Needless to say, I was very excited to see this location open. The equipment is amazing and the salon itself is like none I've seen before. A very nice addition to the shopping center, and I must say, it's about time!
