I've been going to Mark for haircuts and highlights for about 4 years now. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. Yes, it's more expensive than other salons, and he's more expensive than the other stylists in the salon. But it is totally worth it. I used to have hit or miss haircuts. i haven't had bad hair since I started going to this salon. I don't understand the negative reviews. My experiences have always been great at this salon.
My experience was awesome, I have been there for a mint body treatment and a facial, the facial in particular was terrific, I have had a number of facials including two at Grandover Resort and I have to say that Chelsea's facial was far better than anything I have had done in the past, I believe it is not just the products that smell and feel wonderful but also the kindness and genuine concern shown by the staff. I would highly recommend anyone take the time to experience the spa treatments at Aveda.

I recently visited Jade Aveda in Greensboro for what was supposed to be highlights and will NOT be returning for another service. The highlights came out darker than I had requested and upon my dissatisfaction, I called Jade a few days later to discuss how this could be corrected. Much to my surprise and disgust, I spoke with one manager who invited me back to the salon only to pay FULL price for the correction. Unacceptable. To make things worse, a day and a half later I received a call from a different manager. Upon learning who she was, I became excited that there was going to be a positive resolution. Only to find out, she was only interested in rehashing what the previous manager and I spoke about and again reiterating the salon policy. I understand policy. They are there to protect businesses. However, in the health, wellness and beauty industry, I believe that each client is different from another and there should be specific guidelines for instances such as these. There was no effort to resolve the matter and it was clearly stated to me I would not be invited back to correct the color complimentary. Unbelievable. If this review deters just one person from going to Jade then I've done my job.

I would not recommend this salon. An acquaintance of mine recently had highlights done and was dissatisfied with the outcome. Her highlights were darker than she had requested. She called a couple days later to ask for 10-15 additional foils to lighten up a bit. The manager only agreed to correct their errors if the customer agreed to pay for the additional service.
When I heard this, I was shocked. EVERY salon I have frequented has ALWAYS offered to correct color or cut free of charge in the event of any dissatisfaction.
I wanted to post this review to let other potential clients know in advance of the poor service that Jade Aveda in Greensboro, NC offers.
