The gym itself is fair enough. The day care however, another story. I dont know how they keep any of the daycare/nursery employees at all with the way they are treated by the head of the daycare and two of the others who have been there the longest. They seem to throw their weight around and treat the other girls ( who are actually good with the children) like crap. And I get tired of hearing all that ghetto running of the mouth!! No wonder the turn over! I will NOT renew my contract for sure.

First off let me say that I was initally pretty impressed with the facility 2 years ago. I had the drive and the means then to drive from Raeford to Omni on a regular basis for about 4 months. When times started to get hard for us I had to stop going (gas mostly) but understood abnd accepted the fact that I had an obligated 2 year contract. That contract was over this month and when I called to ask about terminating it the "manager" was extremely rude to me, talking to me as if I was a child. I did not appreciate this behavior from this person, it was unprofessional and very degrading. I asked her when I sent out my letter would I be notified when she received it, she told me they don't do that. So naturally I asked so how will I know the the membership will be cancelled. She told me..no assured me..that the membership would be cancalled exactly 30 days of the post mark. I HAVE a receipt of the post mark from the post office inculding the request letter for cancellation. Hopefully in 30 days my account will stop being charged and I am rid of this facility forever. I have never dealt with such rude, unprofessional group of people in my life. I am a completely disgusted by the unethical ways in which this company handles their business.

I rate the professionalism of the managers a complete one star. They are inconsiderate and full of themselves. Some of the employees are treated like children. I know, I worked in Kid Zone for almost three years and I just quit.

I want to echo what Chris posted. I got into this contract because what I saw at first was a new gym in town, and it appeared really nice. It replaced the old Bi-Lo food that was there. As time went by the facility got worse by the month. They are more concerned about the fountain in front then fixing leaks in the roof. I asked several employees if the management was going to upgrade machines or even fix certain machines and pads. They laughed, stated the management didn't care "they have your money". One would think a gym would have a stock pile of pads to replace them as needed or have a contract with Hammer Strength to come in and do bi-annual checks. Or maybe just tighten some screws. The day care used to be top rated in my book, but now they charge for each kid you have to use it. I thought I was paying enough fees to have my children use the jumping room for one hour a day. The hours of the day care continue to change, you never know if they are going to be open. I drove to the gym several times just to find out the day care was closed. I used the personal trainers for a very short period until I was repeatedly hit on by nearly all of them. I just want to work out and be left alone. They didn't even care that I was married and my kids were in the jumping room. I guess I could have filed a sexual harassment law suit, my bad on that but that??s just not me. That was very disrespectful to me and my family. I cannot wait until my contract is up so I can find someplace else to exercise.

The Omni Gym is one of the worst businesses I have ever been associated with in Fayetteville NC. The Gym is all about making and taking your hard earned money. If you are a Soldier do not get sucked into a long term contract; Fort Bragg Gym's have a lot more to offer. The 80's style gym that they are pushing is out of date and they refuse to change. For Soldiers Fort Bragg gym's are updated and have the latest in fitness such as cross-fit and weights. If you a civilian looking to stay fit find someplace else to spend your money and time. This gym rarely takes care of it equipment until it is broken or the pads have holes. The yearly maintenance fee that is breezed over in your contract is not spent on repairs. I will briefly mention the fitness instructors by saying don't waste your time or money. The instructors do NOT know what they are doing. Before you spend your money observe their plan with others and watch them jump from exercise to exercise that don't have anything to do with one another, it is truly comical. The over cleanliness of the gym is poor, be careful of the pads that are rarely cleaned or repaired. Diseases like MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for several difficult-to-treat infections in humans.) Take this very serious. I think I may be out of space more to follow.

I believe there is no good leadership from the top down! The staff and personal trainers are all in it for the money!

Overall, I like Omni. I paid for a year up front (and got 6 months free), so I haven't had the money problems that some have had. The staff are young and perhaps not the friendliest or most knowledgeable bunch, but how often do you really need to interact with them? The child care and the rest of the gym do get REALLY crowded, but only during the usual times. If you go during off-peak hours, you can have plenty of space to do your thing. There's room for improvement here, but overall this is a good place.

One thing I have noticed about this gym is that if you are fit and beautiful you are treated like gold. If you are fat, than they treat you like an annoying little sister. When I was signing up for the gym everyone was "oh, hi, how are you, yada yada yada, how can I help you..we want to make a difference in your life...here listen to this inspiring story" but as soon as you sign that contract, it stops. And forget trying to get any help. I stood at that stupid smoothie counter for almost 10 minutes waiting for the lady to stop flirting with a meat head trainer. She didn't even acknowledge me.
And those free sessions are a joke. They spend the whole time telling you about how you have to have this package or that. You are suppose to get 3 free sessions with a trainer. During the second session when I told the trainer flat out, I can't afford it I got that whole.."can you afford not to" speech. No, I really can't afford $2500 a month for training sessions twice a week. That's more than my tutition for this semester. Needless to say, I never got my 3rd free session and have been given the cold shoulder ever since. While the equipment and the gym itself is nice, the customer service is so so sad. The worst part is, I bet the owners don't even care about all these bad reviews, after all, we were the suckers that signed a contract.

Want moldy showers?
Want lockers that are NEVER cleaned? (at least if you leave you underwear they will still be there 2 weeks later)
Want locker room that smells like pee and 5 million dirty feet?
Want dues that are too high?
Want ripped off on annual dues that promise up graded faulty equipment? (But don't get it)
Want a staff that is more concerned about getting laid than your needs?
Well, bring a boat load of money to the Omni-they'll take care of all of your 'wants'.
If I was the owner, I'd be pissed that a huge investment is going this way. Unless it's all about the money and who cares about the clients that are locked into contracts. Embarrassing!
However, the daycare people are awesome and they may want to use some of those overpriced dues to keep the good class instructors.

The facility is great. Can't deny that. But, that's about it. The staff is rude and don't really know what they are doing. Worst of all are the trainers. WOW! I haven't been able to get a hold of mine for 5 MONTHS!!!!!! I am done. I googled how to work out and did it myself. Sad, but true. These people are sketchy and obviously don't care about anything more than their overpaid paycheck. I hope that anyone thinking of signing away their lives to these people gets a chance to rethink before they watch their money fall down the drain. I have lost 79 lbs on my own and know more than these bafoons could have taught me. Good luck.

I've been a member of this gym for a year and signed up for a two year membership (your typical contract trap). The workers ESPECIALLY THE GENERAL MANAGER (tall bald guy) has no idea what they're doing. I paid for the childcare and was NEVER instructed that the childcare (bounce house room) is almost never open. Varying childcare hours are posted all over the gym, but it's not listed anywhere on their contract. Try asking one of their cutsie lil front desk employees a simple question about your account and you get handed and business card as to how to call someone WHO DOES KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. Every guy that I've encountered at the gym (employee wise) has hit on me...they're a bunch of pigs. DON'T EVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM, THEY DON'T HONOR IT AND ARE YOU REALLY GONNA GET AN ATTY TO GET IT FIXED? THEY BANK ON THAT AT OMNI FITNESS. Unfortunately whomever hired that staff hired a bunch of stupid cute girls and meat head men that don't know their ANYTHING about customer service or running a business. HOWEVER, don't sign the training contract, they rip the trainers off so bad that most of the trainers will allow you to pay them under the table rather than pay the minimum $90 a month for two measly training sessions. GOT MY MONEY RIGHT BACK OUT OF THEM BY DOING THAT. DON'T SIGN A CONTRACT WITH OMNI, THEY'RE NOT SMART ENOUGH TO HONOR WHAT THEY THROW IN YOUR FACE TO SIGN!

They steal from you. I joined the gym over 2 years ago. When my contract was up, they continued to draft money from my bank account. They said I was suppose to give them a written 30 day notice that I was ending my contract or it automatically renewed for another year. Yet, I have other friends who, when their contract was up, they stop drafting from their account. That doesn't even make any sense. Now they continue to steal money from my account because they say I have a contract for another year.

The faciltiy is very nice and the kid zone is amazing. But the gym is way over crowded. It also feels like a meat market. I have to stay in the ladies only room to keep from being interupted non-stop by guys hitting on me. The staff is rude and pushy. The manager that was there when the gym first opened (Stewart Mosely), was the most unprofessional person in the entire gym. Ladies beware!

I think Omni is one of the best gyms in town. Membership price is comparable to other places and the facilities are clean and well equipped. I would warn you NOT to consider personal fitness services there. The personal trainers are owned and operated by a separate company. The sales pitch promises professional level training (at professional level price), but the trainers are little more than amateur gym rats (some not even that) who are untrained and not very knowlegeable. They can't do anything for you that you couldn't do for yourself. If you decide to join the gym, they will connect you with a personal fitness person who will try to sell you on buying training sessions; DON"T DO IT.

Horrible place, liar and cheats. I hope you read this before signing the contract. They will get with hidden fees, not to mention the gym around 5pm is over crowded and dirty. Bad place to go, find better.

I had heard the gym was great because of the classes that were offered. I started going with my friend and I was given a 1 month pass to try the gym out by the morning staff. I went in the next day around 5:45am and I had no problems with the front desk staff had a great class and left. I returned the same day at 5:50pm to try out another class and was highly disappointed by the front desk staff. I showed my pass and was grilled about how did I get and who gave it to me. This was my first time at a gym and I did not know the "procedure" of passes. My pass just had 1 month on it and nothing else. The front desk staff did not sign a name or anything else. Ryan Terricciano (Sales/Admin) begin going over the spill about the membership with his counterpart after seeing my pass. I told them I wanted to continue to try it out to see if this is something I really wanted to do. They were aggressive car salesmen who did not have a clue about common courtesy or business basics. Ryan took my 1 month pass away and said I should have not been given the pass it was a mistake and gave me a 2 day pass instead. I was furious! I have been trying to contact the owner to bring this poorly handled situation to their well needed attention. The staff cared nothing about customer satisfaction just getting a contract signed and I was dealing with the top management for the facility! So you can imagine how it flows from the top to bottom of the staff. Don't go to this gym go to the Healthplex and spend the extra $$ to be treated with respect and common courtesy!

I'm satisfied with the gym so far. We've been members (my husband and I) for a few weeks. I love the way it's set up - the various rooms (ladies, cinema, classes, etc) - and equipment. I'm looking forward to trying some of the free classes.

The negative is the staff. The girl we signed up with was nice enough, but there are several that are stand-offish. Also, with my membership came three free personal training sessions. I was quick to try them out because I wanted to learn what it would be like, so I could give it serious consideration. The trainer is apparently the training coordinater/salesman. So although he was nice enough, the sessions didn't seem that thorough/complete. He also did no stretching exercises at all, which really surprised me. I didn't stretch because I thought it would be included in the session. But they ended up being more informational sessions, teaching me how to use particular machines. Which was helpful since I did need to learn proper posture, weight, etc.

Overall I'm satisfied enough with the gym. It was painful to fork over the large prepay amount, but should be worth it for how cheap it is, monthly, as a result.

Okay so after reading other people's reviews, I wish I would've read it prior to paying for a full year's membership. I took my son to the Daycare/Nursery (the reason that I use them interchangeably is because the members there including the GM Mr. Chavis seem to stress the difference and last time I checked there was NONE!!). Anyway, pardon my digression but I contacted them to voice my dissatisfaction with the one time I took my son there because he was left off alone by himself crying and when I asked the so-called attendants they told me that they didn't know why. First of all let me stress that my son is no spoiled and is very sociable so for him to be crying, something definitely happened whether positive or negative. I called and the person who answered the phone stressed that "We don't have a Daycare" even though the term "Daycare" is printed on all of their literature and he referred me to Mr. Chavis who called me back promptly which was a plus but probably the only plus regarding this whole ordeal.
Anyway, after expressing my concern to the GM who also made sure that I knew it was a "nursery" and not a "daycare" he went on to tell me how he'll go to bat for any and all employees and blah, blah, blah. He offered for me to sit down with my child and a member of the "nursery" staff but told me that I needed to make a decision ASAP because he had more important things to handle as if taking time with a customer who shelled out $500plus based on the precedence of a responsible "daycare" wasn't important. The only reason that I joined this gym was because I needed supervision for my toddler while my husband who is military is deployed/out in field but with letting my husband know about this experience he is very unhappy and not comfortable with me leaving our son here at the facility. I want to stress that at no time did I request or am I seeking a refund but I wanted ANY and EVERY one who considers joining this gym to know that if you plan on leaving your children there...find another facility! Not only are they rude but all they care about is $$$ and yes I know that this is what makes the world go around but at some point and time when their membership decreases through word-of-mouth then they will start to care!!

I cannot attest to the "racism" comments on the previous reviews but want to state that just because the gym has a lot of African-Americans don??t rule it out. I will say that I haven't experienced racism but have experienced poor and rude service PERIOD!!!!!

I have looked at all gyms in fayetteville and nothing comes close to Omni! I love the setup and all the machines. The enviroment is nice there and the ladies in the daycare seem personable! They also have a jumpy room available for the kids who are a little older. Yes no one really says Hi at the front desk when you come in but you are there to work out?! So that doesn't bother me......They always answer or help when I ask about or for something.

The only dislikes I have is I wish the daycare looked better and there was more daycare workers on hand due to the number of children in the room at certain times of the day. (Though the 3 I see during the hectic part of the day do a great job)! Also, the contract for 2 years not so sure about. Military so hopefully they stick to the promise of ending my gym membership if I have to leave. As they said they would.

Also I wish the gym had a pool and hot tub as well. I have seen other gyms pools, they just look worn down and old. I am sure Omni could definitely top all in Fayetteville. I think this would bring about more business for them and would be a great incentive for all. Just imagine. One day I hope they decide to build on somehow.

I went to the gym finally for the first time in forever. I took my girls that are both almost 3. It was a pretty nice day...they were happy and excited about playing with the other kids..I got there at about 1 o clock in the middle of the week. The woman says oh the daycare is closed from noon-4. Why?? I was so mad! Still am. I cant wait till my membership is over!

My wife brings a group schedule home once a week, all of the child care and kid zone hours are on the aerobic schedule. Try going to the gym on a regular basis

Mrs.K, you are right about the gym not opening til 10 a.m. this morning, But as extreme as the weather was Saturday the gym was open from 10-4 and the were open Sunday too, I called Saturday to see if they were open and they answered, maybe you should have done the same thing this morning, instead you took your childern out in the cold when you could have picked up your phone and called to see if Omni was open, that is as smart as not checking your oil when you are making a family road trip 3000 miles across country

I have been a member for a year, ONLY because of my monthly rate, free child care and no contract, I got in lucky, HOWEVER, their billing dept. messed up and sent me nasty letters and when I called told me I was a dead beat and pay up, when they realized their fault, no apologies, got charged after submitting "disability" paperwork when I was out on maternity leave, so I paid the 8 weeks I was out and not using the gym, the GM is like a used car salesmen. I would rather him ignore me than try to strike up bogus conversations, when I had a problem with the billing situation, he too treated me like an idiot that didn't pay bills and never apologized for talking down to me, I can't stand him. The staff sit on the computer up front and browse the web and sometimes I feel like I'm bothering their surfing time when I ask a question. Sometimes you can't get any help but 5 or 6 staff members are standing at the desk chatting and hanging out. Just very unprofessional. I go in, put on my ipod and ignore them all.

As for child care, I leave frequently because there isn't enough staff for all the kids, and the lady that head the child care sits her butt at the front desk rather than getting off it and helping out her staff.

And today they open at 10, it's monday with a little ice outside. I love the fact I drove across town to workout with two small children at 745, yet they decided not to open until 10, how convinient for the staff that doesn't work to begin with.

On a happy note, the only great thing I find there, is the child care staff are AWESOME and they are great with the kids and the kids love them. I even asked them to babysit on the side, and I have never trusted anyone more, I love these ladies.

I am SHOCKED to hear anything but good things about this fabulous gym! Provided, I opted for the pay-up-front option vs. monthly automatic payments, but the quality equipment and superb daycare facility far outweigh any front desk issues. My two-year old LOVES the daycare ladies and usually seems sad to leave! I spend a lot of time in the free weights and always find the equipment I need with little or no wait. The cardio cinema shows new, great movies... a welcome distraction when I'm not really in the mood to run! In all, I love this facility and I'm proud to be a member.

The gym is wonderful. The staff are friendly, the childcare is fantastic and the facility and equipment are spectacular! But watch out for your "free" training sessions with Custom Built. I was very pressured to sign a contract, and when I asked to have some time to think about it, the salespeople were very impatient with me. I finally agreed to buy sessions up front because the trainer told me that I could use them as I wish instead of being held to using a certain number of sessions per month. I found out later that this was a lie, that I had to use the sessions in a certain time period or they would expire. This equates to a contract that is twice as expensive as the one I was originally offered. The salesperson even crossed out the portion of the contract that described the membership term. Customer service was unwilling to make any changes to my contract, and even refused to allow me to cancel WITH a termination fee. They have my money and they won't work with me. The salesperson confronted me and admitted that he should not have crossed out the term and apologized for not discussing a time limit with me, but refused to do anything to work with me to resolve this problem. I found out that Custom Built has 117 complaints with the better business bureau, so I'm not surprised that they're unwilling to work with me. Be VERY VERY careful with these people and make sure that you have EVERYTHING in writing if you dare sign a contract.

These people are LIARS...if your a soldier or a wife of a soldier..tehn you better find another gym They will scam our own soldiers out of money the time they are deplyed. WE were both told "verbally" that is that if my husband were to deploy we would just have to show orders..well not only then did that turn into 2 copies of his orders and both be sent certified mail..that's another 10bucks for nothing..Thanks OMNI..It's so shaddy that any company would want to take money form our fighting soldiers. YOU GUYS SUCK! And nice way also to scam people out of money with their own kids. I ahve been a member since they opened and now being told I have to pay an additonal 35 dollars for then to go with me one day a week?? The most insane place ever. Good honest people, check out World's Gym of Fayetteville!!!

I had an account with Omni for 6 months, recently closed my account due to unauthorized drafts to my checking account that they said were "in my contract" if you sign up, I would advise to READ the fine print, and make sure these people are telling the truth. Jonathon signed me up, and he was great. He told me it would be no problem to close my account when my husband deployed. However, after issues with problem above, I asked to close my account a month prior to his deployment. Erica was rude over the phone, asking for "certified mail" of his orders. As if that was in the contract too?? I would NOT sign anything with these people, they are scammers, and liars, and when it comes down to wanting to close your account...good luck! The gym may be "nice" itself, but I've seen better....try the Renaissance Gym on Bragg Blvd. GREAT customer service, and I've used other services they have with NO contract issues :)

Of course the Omni isn't perfect....no business establishment ever is...especially a gym....look at the wide range of people, personalities, fitness goals and reasons for going to the gym. If you take all that into account you can see that there is no way it could make everyone happy. I have had memberships at and worked out at the Spa (both locations), Golds (both locations) and many gyms on Fort Bragg. I currently have active memberships with Golds and the Omni....I have to say that so far, I prefer the Omni to any other facility I have used. Of course, I haven't had any problems with the staff (and hopefully won't) and they have kept their side of the contract we signed. So, overall, I think it is a great gym and really is a class facility.

My son and I have been working out at Omni for 4 months and have loved every day at this gym. The staff is friendly and available and my daughter who is 10 loves the play room. She actually gets quite a workout herself because there is so much to do there. My entire family is signed up for the cost of only myself at another gym in Fayetteville. If you are checking out gyms, try this one soon, I'm sure they will give you a pass or two to check it out, you won't be sorry. Oh, yeah, the equipment is only the best available by law. You have to see it to believe it, even when it is a busy day, there is hardly any wait, it seems they have 2 of everything and 4 of something like it if those are in use.

The gym itself is very nice however the people working there are not. They are very high pressure and when things don't go their way they will turn on you. They lie, the trainers miss appointments and I have been told one thing and than told something entirely different later on. Sorry but their business practices are horrible! I will be taking my business elsewhere preferably to a gym that actually wants me as a customer.

Stuart and Some members of his staff are not always polite. They will tell you almost anything to get you to join that gym and then not live up to very important parts of the verbal agreements and customer service agreements that they promise to live up to when you are signing their contract and during your 3 day trial period. Most of the male staff at Omni are wonderful as well as the personal trainers but a lot of the women and definitely Stuart have some serious personality and truth telling issues. We did not have a personality conflict, Stuart is actually shady and will lie to you about the quality of some of the services of the gym. When Stuart or women members of his staff are caught in a lie, they just avoid the issue altogether by being harder on you or your children and not getting back to you about the complaint that you made to one of them. Stuart and most of the members of his women staff will put the entire burden of solving the problem on you. Stuart will understand that his staff can make mistakes but not you or your child. You or your child would need to change something if you make a mistake, but not him and his staff. Stuart's response to his staff mistakes will be, "Well they are only human they are going to make mistakes, but they do a great job all of the time." After you sign the contract, his response to you or your child's necessary customer service provisions like he promised you would be "Well we can no longer provide that service for you now, we've just changed that." So if you need that when you come to the gym it won't be here for you anymore. Their entire childcare system is substandard. Some the staff is also racist against multiracial and Black people. I have spoken nothing but the truth about what my family and I have personally experienced at the Omni Gym in Fayetteville.
