My God, where do I start? I'd give negative ten stars if I could. These guys were hired beause they were local and talked a good game. We hired them to do some sheetrock work, tear out & replace a section of pool decking and pour a floor in a section of basement.

First of all, they left the broken up concrete piled in my yard and said they didn't have any way to remove it. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. When they built a form for the pool slab, they took lumber I had stored under my deck do do the work. I wasn't at home when they actually did the work, but by the results, they had apparently never seen wet concrete before. My wife told me they dumped all the concrete in both pours, then spent FIVE HOURS working the 12 x 12 slab while the other pour in the basement sat. Obviously, the slab in the basement was nearly unworkable (this was in February.)

While I had been very specific that the floor needed to be very flat to install machine tools, the end result wasn't 'quite to expectations'. In a 20x20 floor, there was over 2 1/2" of variation. (ANYWHERE I laid down a 4' level, I could slide my fingers underneath it somewhere.) They put in a floor drain but covered it with concrete. The drain pipe ran uphill and din't even exit the huge hole in my wall they bashed out with a sledgehammer. They left boot prints in the surface, and splattered wet concrete all over the walls. They didn't put in expansion material around the edges. I could have beat wet cement with live roosters and gotten a better finish.

The pool slab was crooked at the edges, and as much as 4" out of level (at the edges, we're not talking about drain slope here.) They splattered wet concrete all over my pool pump, fence, house, and everything else within 30 feet of the work.

The sheetrock work had been done by someone who clearly had never hung sheetrock before. There was a lot of small sections cut out and pieced together, and the mud was left unsanded. We called to have that redone (the sheetrock was done a few days before the concrete) and even after that they left tape complete uncovered.

Unfortunately, we paid for the sheetrock work up front and $1000 down on the concrete work. When we complained, I was told the work was great and they didn't see a problem. I talked to an attorney but was told that while I would certainly win a lawsuit, I would spend more on the suit than I would likely get back. I ended up tearing out all the concrete myself and paying to have it buried, then paid again to have the work done by someone else (for less than these jokers did the work.) I had to have all the sheetrock sanded down and refinished as well. That would have been cheaper to tear out and replace as well I found out.

The bottom line is I wouldn't hire these people to clean a litterbox much less pour concrete. Do yourself a favor and avoid this so-called business like the plague.
