Rooster's Wood Fired Kitchen menu is rooted in superior products and cooked with rustic, European technique. Through our established network of small farmers, fish mongers and other local artisans, we bring a pastoral, simple and honest approach to the southern food renaissance. Early each morning, the Chef at each restaurant builds the fire for our hickory wood fired ovens and grills that we use to give our vegetables, fish and spit roasted meats their distinct flavor. At Rooster's, we celebrate the seasonal and handcraft as much as possible in house. From butchering our own animals to our bread we bake every morning at The King's Bakery from locally milled organic flour, careful attention is put into each and every dish and each and every ingredient. The wine program at Rooster's takes its inspiration from our menu: It is European at its core but is full of other influences, from California to North Carolina and all over the world. Great care goes into choosing wines that will both compliment our food and offer our guests the unique experience of come of our exclusive allocation and rare vintages

My friend took me to Roosters once and it was an odd visit. Bad service but great food. I had the mussels and she had the flank steak. We will go back to see if the service improves.

I had high hopes for Rooster's, seeing as my experiences at Noble's have always been fantastic, but I left disappointed.

Our bbq chickens were cold and raw in the middle, and the bbq flavor wasnt what one would expect. The vegetables were

We went to Roosters last weekend to try it out and I have to say I was dissapointed. I have been to Noble and they have the same owner, so I expected a lot more (especially since I LOVE Noble).

It wasn't that the food was bad, it just wasn't extremely good. Our wine glasses came out dirty and hot (with expensive wine this is a no no) and the food was decent. My steak was cooked as I had ordered it but I can't say that I loved the wood flavor. I get my meat medium rare, but this tasted burnt on the outside.

If you ever go, the coconut cake dessert is fabulous and I would reccomend the Ceasar salad.

A wall full of stuffed Roosters is what give this place it's name... REALLY? We found it creepy and not very creative.

Our waitress wasn't helpful- didn't make suggestions of what to order with our main courses- we just sort of stumbled through and assembled our own meals.

The beer-cheese soup was cold and absent of any beer flavor- and the au gratin potatoes were cold as well. The fried zucchini spears were very, very greasy. The parmesan gnocchi was as bland as plain gnocchi. The Hanger Steak was fatty and the flavor was no better than any run of the mill steak house. None of the food we were served had any "wood fired" flavor - it could have all been cooked on anyl grill.

Maybe we ordered the least popular/spectacular food on the menu- but there's no way we will go back again. Our single most disappointing meal in Charlotte yet.

Great place for a classic wood fire meal. The service is excellent and the food even better. Must try!

I visited Charlotte recently and the wood fire smell in the air attracted us to Rooster's for lunch. The service was friendly and the food was delicious.

Rooster's is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. Owned by the same people as Noble's, Rooster's is a fairly upscale ala carte restaurant. The hanger steak is out of this world and reasonably priced. Their PEI mussels are very good and all of their vegetable sides are excellent. You can even get an upscale burger. I definitely recommend Rooster's whether you are on a date or with a big group.
