Joined in Aug. 2011, with the condition that I would only be using the club for a short time 4-6 weeks, and then pay the flex fee until I moved to Buckhead - Atlanta, GA in Dec. 2011, to join the new Lifetime Fitness opening up in Buckhead at the beginning of 2012. Or so this is what Dave Trevor their Members Engangement Manager (what a joke) told me. So, here's what happened. At the beginning of Sept. I searched for the address of their Buckhead location to prepare for my trip to Buckhead, wanted to see how close I'd be to the gym, but I couldn't find an address online. Called Dave Trevor, left messages explaining what I needed, after multiple calls, I finally reached Dave, turns out the gym wasn't in Buckhead but a distance a way in Sandy Springs, but there was supposed to be one in Buckhead soon. He'd check on the address. Took him a day or so to get back to me. The new gym isn't going to be in Buckhead either, and its not even going to be a Lifetime Fitness but an Onyx, and to top it off it wasn't scheduled to be opened until May of 2012. Needless to say I cancelled my membership, and wanted the joining fee of $89 + $10 flex fee I paid for Sept. back. They could keep my Aug. dues since I actually used the club then. I thought this was fare, because I would n't have joined if Dave Trevor had not LIED to me. I guess I should have got confirmation on the address before I joined but the place seemed respectable. Dave Trevor agreed to this refund on a Friday and told me I'd see a refund to my bank acct the following Monday. No refund, after more numerous calls to Dave, he told me it takes 5-7 business days. Still no refund so more phone calls on my part. Yep, no one will take my calls or return them. Then finally I hear from their corporate office that I will not be receiving a refund, and that they were going to charge me the flex fee for Oct. 2011 as well. They had to screw me out of as much money as they could. Dave Trevor is loser-scum, he will say anything to sell a membership, the general mgr Derrick Navu??? had corporate call me, and I got into a heated argument with this rep, he seemed to enjoy, but I can gurantee he, Dave, Derrick, would not enjoy speaking to me in person. Be forewarned about joining this place. They bait and switched me, they are liars and run a scam operation. And yes I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau. In conclusion, all I can say is Dave and etc. are very very fortunate I'm a peaceful person...

I will not do business with LTF again. They have gotcha fees anytime you want to upgrade or downgrade your account. Their cancellation policy is deceiving at best and nauseatingly evil at worst. If you decide to cancel, they say you need to give 30 days. Wrong! They will charge you for up to 60 days based on their confusing and misleading cancellation policy. Join at your own risk.

I was blown away by the facility. It is huge, clean, well maintained and has something for everyone. I think the month to month payment arrangement makes them more motivated to keep the place up than those places that charge a huge long term commitment fee. There are times when the crowd is large but the facility is big enough that I never have to wait for a treadmill, etc. I have had to wait for a lane in the lap pool but not for long. I really like this place. It is reasonably priced and has a lot to offer.

Management does not care about the safety of the clients or children and will not even respond to your complaints ALL the best trainers have left b/c of the new manager who has no morals or ethics whatsoever but fortunately Liifetime is a company that supports and admires this type of behavior if you dont or if you care about your self and your CHILDREN you should go elsewhere

Ratio is 12:1 on a good day in the toddler area! State of the art everything BUT childcare??? So sad. Does Lifetime not want young families' business?

Older kids can go into toddler area.

As soon as a baby can walk they stick them in the "toddler area" where older children can come and go as they please. Typically there is only 1 caregiver in there with them at a time, regardless of the volume of children.

Many areas where care givers can not adequately see what is going on with children. Kids as young as 2 can go "play" in the hidden maze with the older kids. Some areas of the childcare center are not staffed at all at certain times.

Babies are left to cry.

Staff is overworked and underqualified. Plus they cut the hours of the center. Care givers do their very best, but, again, they are not adequetly trained or qualified to do the job. And they are totally overwhelmed at peak hours.

This is only a good gym if your children are over 5-6.

Go to the YMCA if you have little ones. The YMCA Cary gym leaves a lot to be desired, but at least you can enjoy a workout because you know your child is safe, with well qualified care givers that actually hold your baby, comfort your little one and supervise them nonstop with adequate, qualified staff (they not only do background checks but they also check staff for any communicable diseases). Ratio at the YMCA is INCREDIBLE. Every time I have been there with my 11 month old there has been a 1:1 ratio - even at peak hours! You just can't beat peace of mind!

Go to Lifetime if your a single. You'll love it!
