Great Service!! I just don't think that the last person has had any experience with sushi. Had a great time there warm atmosphere. Great location. I could not say enough about there friendly, knowledge staff. Enjoyed all I ordered all sushi. I have been to sushi bars in and out of US and this is up there in the way it should be done. Recommend stopping by and tasting all the wonders of sushi that they have to offer. As well as a wide range of other Japanese cuisine.

Until last week we ate at this place numerous times per month. The Sushi Chef was always really easy to work with as I prefer my philly roll changed from the original. Also for people who plan to go eat here do realize the menu has had a misprint from how he actually makes philly rolls for at least 6 months. Avocado no sprout. Anyway we have had several issues with service from the cooks and the female owner is never polite or inviting.
Though the food is good on most occasions the fact is the cooks in the back lack proper training. In the last month however we have order filet mignon we had one piece that just smelled rotten. You know the spoiled beef smell that fills your house when you cook up old meat for your dogs. Well we over looked that. However this last week I decided I wanted just one roll of sushi. In fear of my husband ordering it wrong I called it in. After speaking to two different waitresses I was transferred to the Sushi Chef. Being use to how I ordered my Sushi it was quick and painless once he was on the phone.
So my husband goes to pick up my order and grab himself something elsewhere. When he arrives they claim I never called the order in. They show him the only order they have which is a philly roll and a spider roll. They tell him he must have called another location. When he returns home angry a friend that was over called the restaurant and after much debate and again being given over to talk to the sushi chef they figured out that they had my order.
Normally we would have told them never mind however it was made and I really wanted what I had ordered. SO my husband drove back which really is out our way to pick it up. He waitress stayed past her shift to apologize which was nice. However the female owner not only refused to compensate in any way for the double trip but also added extra charges because I added tempura flakes to the outside of my sushi.
We regularly brought 2 to 5 guests with us when we went to this restaurant. And our personal bill is nearly always 50 dollars or more. However this time I do not think we are going to give it another try. The wait staff and Sushi chef we will miss. The rest not so much.

Yamato Japanese House of Steak is a great place to eat. While it does not offer the festive atmosphere of having your food prepared in front of you, you still receive a great Japanese meal at a reasonable price. Yamato's has improved much since they first opened. Our first experience was not the most pleasant, but it is so much better now.
