The best thing about Daly RV is that Adam's BBQ down the road is a great place to eat while you're waiting for them to fix your rig. We purchased a NEW (brand spanking) RV from Daly 6 mos ago. Since then, it has been nothing but trouble. So far, our new RV has been on their lot being worked on more than on vacation with us in our first summer of ownership. \r\n\r\nSpecific complaints:\r\n1. Safety/security of lot. While our camper has been on the lot being serviced, they have been broken into twice and several campers have been vandalized with TVs & copper wiring stripped out and stolen.\r\n2. Sloppy service. We had some of our belongings in the camper damaged while they were working on other non-related issues.\r\n3. Inattentive sales staff. They do not call customers to give updates when work cannot be completed in the scheduled time. We constantly have had to call or visit to see for ourselves the progress (or lack thereof) of work being done to our unit. When their main mechanic had a death in his family and our camper's repair work was delayed, no one bothered to call or let us know. So, when we showed up at the previously appointed time to pick up our unit to go out of town, it was THEN that we were told the circumstances of why it was not ready. A phone call would have been nice so we could have planned around this.\r\n4. Understaffed garage. We have been told multiple times by the owner that they were behind BEFORE the robberies and the mechanic's death in the family...then came hurricane Irene and now they are further behind. \r\n5. Apointments mean nothing. We gave them a two week window to get caught up and made an appointment to get the previously NOT COMPLETED issues taken care of. After they had our RV for two weeks, we called to inquire about the progress and were told that they hadn't gotten to it yet. We later discovered that they hadn't even ordered the parts. It's now been a month and we still have no camper. Scheduled to go out of town tomorrow and hoping they will piece it back together for our trip. Hoping we can get a hotel room at the last minute just in case. \r\n6. Uncaring management. Doors falling off hinges, leaking facets and fixtures, an electric jack that freezes up for no reason, a wheel that wobbles, large parts falling out from the underbelly...we were told that these were ""minor issues"". When we complained about the amount of time it was taking to get our camper back, the owner got angry with US for being upset.\r\n\r\nI think when you invest this kind of money in something, you have the right to expect it to work properly and be available for use when you want to use it. Daly RV has left a bad taste in our mouth for RVs and camping in general. Never had this much drama booking a hotel. If we can ever get rid of this camper, it will be our last!
