I was yelled at and then hung up on when I called to set up payment arrangements. CRAZY...CRAZY... People!!! Isn't it us sorry bill payers that keep y'all dumb butts in business? Don't be mad at us because y'all are the scum of the earth! JUST SAYIN!!

I called George Brown because I have a collection on my credit report and I wanted to get it settled. I ask if I could speak to someone about the bill. I asked her was the insurance filed because it was a very large medical bill. She said she was not sure. Than she proceeds to say what are you going to do about it. I said I plan to pay it. She says in a sarcastic way THIS YEAR!! At this time I was very caught off guard because of her tone. So I said back I called you ??? Yes I will and planned on it.. She than said I know what you are going to do NOTHING.... I than say I am not going to entertain this conversation with you I have the info I need. She said sure your not... I said Good Bye.. I have never been so mad on a phone conversation and I wanted to come thru the phone on her rude arrogant unprofessional &$*^%.

I was treated very respectful with everyone i spoke with .. It is one thing to be nice and considerate of people's situations..... yet when a new billing service comes along and does not follow the arrangements and sends of someone's unpaid bill to a chickenshit debt collector like GB & A..... who calls you up on a Sunday Morning at 10AM and starts threatening you over the phone..... it truly shows you how much of an Arse these people & this company is! For someone like me who had an arrangement with my Doctor, who knew/knows I was hurt & disabled a waiting for my disability hearing & WC settlement...... my Doctor had no problem waiting on my situation... then to have this company call me up and threaten me a second time, and then tell me I owe money from the first time I ever saw my doctor and it was near $800 dollars... I was apalled at the claim.... my bills did not even start going unpaid until nearly a year after the claimed date..... then the beoch proceeds to threaten me again and tell me I have until the end of the month to pay this bill....... but the stupid beoch doesn't understand that any & all of my medical bills outstanding have been ruled retroactive and covered by medicaid via a Federal Judge in Charlotte and the follow up I received Tuesday from the SSA confirmed it .....\r\n\r\nBut the way these people act as if they are above the law is unreal.... if God granted me the power to reach thru the phone, I would have slapped the beoch's head plum off her shoulders for being so rude ...... If I am alive when she finally passes away, I wil hope to find out where she is being buried so I can go piss on her grave.... and tell any of her family, if their are any there. that that is what she deserves from all the people she calls up and threatens...... especially us, who had prior arrangements, and have been disabled with no income for nearly 2 years...... wondering if you can tell how really PO'ed I am about this company ....... they can not call and be polite, they mislead you when they call and say they are calling as if they work at the doctor's office.... least that is what this woman did to me the first time around.....\r\n\r\nanyhows...... she has been told to cease & desist and to not call my mother's unlisted number anymore....

Their p.s. about some people not paying their bills reflects their kind of limited thinking. Maybe some people have situations that have developed whereby they are in a situation beyond their control and cannot pay their bills.\r\nThen along comes the heartless bill collector to harass and humiliate the poor people who have suffered setbacks of one nature or another, and they don't really care. Too bad that they do not realize that they could end up on the receiving end.

These people are head hunter debt collectors, they then use the incomplete information provided to them, which 90% of the time is the reason why the debt couldn't be collect in the first place, to harass people until the find the person they are looking for.\r\n\r\nThe federal government should step in and shut these guys, and other companies like them, down. Why should people be harassed by companies like this if they have never done business with companies who use their services, if the company doesn't have the since enough to collect the proper information in the first place they should doc the pay of the person responsible for the inaccurate information or provide the service for free.\r\n\r\nGBA is a medical collection agency and is worse than the bankers, these guys are collecting for groups who are overcharging for their subpar standards in medical treatments and then expecting people who probably didn't have the money in the first place for the treatment which was required to pay it back because the insurance industry doesn't cover squat anymore. \r\n

I have been harassed by an Anthony at this so called company.. He is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. He called my house & all but accused my 82 yr old mother- in- law of lying to him. I don't owe these people a dime. He has called me at work and tried to pick a fight with me instead of listening to me. I paid $4000.00 before a surgery. That was my maximum out of pocket due. The insurance is in charge of the rest. I have complete documentation of this & they could care less. Then I received 2 letters in the mail, the same day from them. One was about the bill I just spoke of & then one was about another woman's bill with a similar name with my address on it. Maybe they should look into the clients information before assuming things that aren't true. If you are a company looking for a collections agency, I would think twice before using them. If I did owe them anything, it definitely would not be one of my top priorities, just because of the way I have been harassed. It seems that everyone that has written a review agrees with me.

I have had the extreme displeasure of receiving messages from one of the ""workers"" at GBA. \r\n\r\nFirst, they call me from a NC area code, yet claim to be in SC. Then, they state personal information( such as addresses, phone numbers, etc.) about me that is totally false. The person calls leaving threatening messages and using demeaning terms such as ""son"" and ""pal"" when leaving me messages. I verbally requested a statement showing that my payments are being posted toward my balance, then also made the same request in writing, sent with my last payment. The check clears, but no bill arrives for the following month. Then, on the last day of the month, I get a frantic call saying that I broke the ""agreement"" and haven't paid. I return the call and ask about the letter(of course, they didn't get the letter, just the check that was wrapped in side it) and I am told that they do not send out statements reflecting what you pay and what you still owe. I am accused of dodging them, yet I called and left two messages with the receptionist for the ""agent"" to call me, since I sent the letter. \r\n\r\nThey claim to be a legitimate business, yet no one seems to have voicemail or email at this place( my daughter is only 11 and she has both!!!).\r\n\r\nI think that this ""business"" is very unprofessional and a little sketchy in their practices of debt collection. Just because I may owe money, does not give anyone the right to belittle me, nor keep me in the dark over the progress of my payments. The ""agents"" for GBA really need some basic customer service training, and just basic manners and courtesy training wouldn't hurt either.\r\n\r\nAlso, if you are a business thinking of using their ""service"", you might want to reconsider. They are very unprofessional, and their attitudes towards your clients just might reflect poorly on you and your business.

My one telephone conversation with her to try to set up a payment arrangement was a horrible experience. I wasn't given a chance to pay my bill with dignity. This company does not make it easy for honest people to try to pay off their debt, and treats you as if you're unworthy of any respect. I was completely mortified, and pushed this debt to the LAST of my list to pay off! Thank goodness it's paid off now, but I feel sorry for anyone who still has to deal with them. If it weren't for my wonderful obgyn that I love, I would also switch doctors' offices for choosing such a horrible company to work with.

I was calling for some information about their services to collect on accounts for a local business. The person that answered the phone had a horrendous attitude. She spoke to me like I was dirt. I asked her politely to hold so that I could answer another customer phone call and before I switched phone lines, this extremely rude person hung up on me!
