Great pasta and great food, but for a small family of three, we ended up paying over 200 cash for dinner. Kinda expensive. Food is good, but for the hustle and rush atmosphere, 200 cash was a bit too much. I like them alot, but each time I go for dinner, I always feel rush with the check and the cash only is kidda annoying. Go here for the food, but prepare to be done in 1 hour

Wow, the food might be good, I wouldn't know. We walked to Leo's in 10? F with a baby and four folks over 65 (our parents!) We were an 8 top, they don't take reservations. So we called, "do you think you can seat us" - "we don't want to take the family out in this weather etc" - "No problem" they say.

Well, we get there and there are plenty of tables, but they seated everyone spread out, no room for an 8 top. They tell us 30 Minute wait. We say, we called five minutes ago. They say, things change.

Not only this, the manager, instead of addressing the problem right away. Notices our confusion and ignores us until he walks over and takes our drink order. Sorry a vodka soda might chill me out, but my child has other plans.

We had no choice but to head back out into the cold, babies do not like to wait for tables.
I explained this to the owner too - he says, "I understand" - so seat us I say, "sorry" he says.
So we left. I will boycott this place to everyone I know.

Restaurants are dime a dozen, in the economy, I would choose my actions accordingly.
He did not.
Leo can take a hike.

This is a wonderful little Italian restaurant located on the corner of 2nd and Grand. The food is good and the baked Ziti is by far some the best I've had. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Having dinner at Leo's is like going to Grandma's for Sunday supper... The food is as traditional, homemade Italian as it's going to get! If you're looking for a more modern place to eat, don't come here. You come to Leo's for the food, the Frank Sinatra music, and the value - the prices cannot be beat, especially if you're sticking to pasta! A perfect way to save money for later that evening on Washington Street...

Snobbish foodies need not apply & yuppies?
Stay away.
Leo's is old-time Italian Hoboken at its very best.
On a recent visit however, their attempt to update the restaurant annoyed me.
"Don't mess with a good thing", "if it ain't broke, don't fix" it & several other cliches come to mind.
