I have been using Summit Medical for approximately 10 years. Overall I would say the quality of the medical care is good. The ENT department is completely negligent and non responsive to the patient's needs. I would have tot agree with

Avoid this place at all costs. The place looks beautiful but you quickly can see whats really going on. first instead of a greeting we arrived to a receptionist playing w her ipod. all the staff we encountered were short w us, not flexible

Avoid this place, it's a factory that doesn't care about you, but only about your money. Doctors are OK, when you are lucky enough to get to them and when they are not so overbooked that they can actually give you more than 30 seconds of

I have had a fabulous experience with the Summit Medical Group. As a cancer survivor, I have fairly complicated issues that must be handled by a variety of departments. I never have to worry about referrals for specialists as they take

My experience with the Doctors had been good. But, their billing department is horrible. They make mistake and you pay for that. They don't send you statements, for more than a year, but you will be put in collection agency. So unless

We've had a good experience going to SMG, mostly their Neurology Dept. When they realized it was out of their hands, they referred outside and sent records without any problems, and have kept track of the records of all the different places. If we need an X-ray or MRI from another doctor, we get it done at SMG because they give us the CD and report without any problems. While they do charge $10 to fill out a form, they are good about mailing positive test results to you, and very good about making sure insurance will pay for services.

These doctors know their stuff, but they don't have the experience and knowledge of university doctors, which they referred us to. But SMG is a ton more efficient and has friendlier staff than the university doctors. We did have some problems with unfriendly folks in billing, but not recently, as I think they resolved that problem.

We think they are a good place to start for anything.

The Group strongly depends upon electronic medical records., but has no alerts in the system for medication allergies, can't correct the meds. you do take list.

When x-rays are taken, you can't borrow them for follow-up. They charge for print-outs needed for others to review.

Often, I found their support and medical staff can be ignorant about the complications faced by a breast cancer patient.

Administration is training them, like a mantra, to persistently disparage outside physicians, even if they don't have equally qualified doctors., such as for cancer and rare blood disorders.

The on-call department often triages nicely and efficiently. You can go, get seen, be taken care of, and leave.

Today, the nurse practitioner on-call was terribly sick, took no precautions, including washing her hands, before examining me. She barged in, incensed when I couldn't immediately snap to her attention

She didn't wear a mask to "protect" me from her germs. She didn't do a thorough or adequate exam at all.

She ended up harassing me, insisting that my symptoms meant nothing + muttered something bec. I hadn't been to 1 of their doctors. When I asked for a test, she purposely put the the wrong diagnosis code. Thought I wouldn't know it.

It was hopeless, I was feeling awful, being seen by a "professional" who was in a bad mood + shouldn't have been at work, + I have to argue with these people how to do codes?

I burst into tears, cranky w/ whatever was ailing me, + left. Most of the trees in their parking lot were tied with pink ribbons, the biggest irony of all.

I've been home all day feeling nauseous, awful with ongoing chills and sweats, + fear ever going 2 see another so-called "professional."

2 weeks ago, another md ,there claimed to be afraid to treat me because of my "bleeding disorder," + my multiple medical issues.

What's not clicking here?

Forget the patient advocate -- she's only there to listen, but hardly does anything. Having her return phone calls is a problem, too.

So, Summit Medical built a castle, sorry a "campus,"

Sadly, the problem seems to be, they "think" they are kings of the hill, when they're deteriorating into peasants in a mill.

Took my 2 girls for annual physicals. Upon completion of physical, asked nurse for a copy of each child's 1 page well being exam (weight, height, vision, etc. recorded). My request was refused; she stated that I had to request a copy of these 2 pages through medical records and pay for them! Moreover, when Dr. Eibschutz examined my daughters, I asked her to sign and date my daughter's one-page form for preschool. Again, Dr. Eibschutz refused my request stating that I need to pay an additional $10 for her to do this, and that I needed to "respect Summit Medical Group policy." I felt disrespected as a mother and devalued as a patient and client. I paid $40 copay, my insurance company, United Health Care, was charged hundreds of dollars for this visit, and I was neither given my children's medical records (2 pages) or had my form competed (1 page). This is the height of outrageousness. Summit Medical Group is clearly all about the American dollar and not about patient care or common kindness. I will not return to this doctor or this clinic.

i figured a medical group like summit would be ideal since they have all the doctors you'd need to handle any medical situation. so i need nose surgery and to understand the cost i call summit medical group who gives me all the possible procedure codes so i can call my insurance company and find out the worst case cost. well they missed half the codes and neglected some other "services" and the bill comes to 2.5x what the worst case cost was. my follow up surgery costs were even worse. every time they put the instrument in my nose with the light on the end to see up there it was $750. ridiculous. when i called them to say they either lied to me or left out critical information on the cost of my procedures they said nothing we can do about it. this group epitomizes the problems with skyrocketing health care costs. go somewhere else you're just a $ provider here.

Dr. Marla Abramson is a great physician and diagnostician. She is also warm, caring and attentive to her patients and makes herself available when needed. I can recommend her wholeheartedly and without hesitation.
