I also wish there were a rating of less than one star: My mother went in last week looking for a gown to wear at my wedding this summer. She was actually impressed with the selection and found several dresses she really liked, but wanted to run them by me first before deciding. So the saleswoman, who was apparently acting very nice (at the time), offered to hold one particular gown until 4pm that Friday for my mother.

She and I conferred the next day, and decided the dress was perfect for her. My mother called on Friday afternoon-- well before 4pm-- and was very upset to find out that they'd sold the dress out from under her! Apparently a part-time salesperson didn't know the dress was on hold and sold it. This was very disappointing and upsetting, but not even the worst part...

I called the shop today to find out how this could have happened and express my frustration, and I happened to speak with the same woman who "helped" my mother that day. She explained it was a mistake, but said the dress was sold and there was nothing they could do. She wasn't apologetic at all, and was rather rude and defensive. I said 'thanks anyhow' and we hung up. Then it occurred to me I might still be able to salvage the situation, as there were a couple other dresses my mother really liked there and would consider buying. So I called back and asked if they could offer my mother a discount to make it up to her and earn her business. This is when the woman became truly nasty: saying she didn't owe my mother anything-- if she'd really wanted the dress, she should have bought it right away, she didn't need this, etc. Just nasty, nasty, mean, and other words I won't write here.

Seems to me like when they smell money, these people can offer some semblance or facade of kindness and service, but the second you ask them to display some of amount of honor or kindness or consideration or, heaven forbid, customer service, all bets are off.

Run away-- run far, far away from this nasty, mean place! Despite liking some of their dresses, we will do whatever it takes to take our business elsewhere!

I went to this store before they moved to Lawrenceville. I thought the selection was rather limited and I didn't fine the salesgirls very helpful. I also didn't like that the salesperson had to be in the dressing room with me. I'm sure they have beautiful gown, but I just wasn't impressed.
