Showed up ten minutes before that night's last showing of a hit movie. Told we were the only ones buying tickets to see that movie, so we were turned away. Imagine if producers and directors knew that paying customers were being declined due to laziness or apathy. Again, only if you have to see the movie at this theater, otherwise avoid this place.

The theater itself was pretty small, and the crowd that was there at the movie was somewhat raucous. It was otherwise a pretty clean venue, though there are better theaters nearby if you want to get a good movie-going experience in.

When the Dark Knight came out, I went to see it at the Rialto. Bought my ticket, ordered popcorn and a drink and proceeded to the theater. I was stopped by a manager who told me they are not showing the movie because they are planning to close early. I asked for a refund and only got a pass to see another movie. She also added an arbitrary expiration date.

Tonight was the expiration date and I was walking by on my way to pick up my children from their grandparent's house. As much as I wanted to see a movie, it was not possible, so I thought it would be reasonable to get an extension of one week on the "free pass" since I paid for the original ticket.

The manager was very confrontational and slowly repeated back to me that I had three months to use it and it is definitely expiring today.

I reasoned that if she didn't extend it at least for a week, I would never be back and that I'm there about once a week. She said she did not care and proceeded to keep the "free pass". This little power tripper of a wannabe manager lost her company $1,000/year. I noticed today that the place is ancient, but not in a good way. It smells musty and reeks of urine and bad popcorn. I'll drive the extra 2 miles to Lowes on Route 22 and recommend you do the same to avoid similar treatment.

The Rialto Theatre is a good place to hang out and go to the movies. It's definitely not as big as the AMC theatres, but if you don't feel like making the drive, Rialto is definitely suffice. I've been there many times to watch movies and there's never been a problem! Just be sure to get there on time if you're waiting to watch a movie on opening night. The lines get kind of crazy!

I got KICKED OUT OF HERE without refund because me and my friend sat at the "no sit here" zone. But other than that time, it's not too bad. It is a local theater and the theaters are pretty small. They have local popcorn. There are a few arcade games. Prices aren't through the roof and you can just say you're a child and they'll let you go (done this a million times, but I don't do it anymore).

This place is packed in weekends by middle school and high school kids from Westfield and neighboring towns and by couples.

Good place to chill with friends or someone special :)
