I went to a wedding there on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 7 p.m. The decor has a gothic feel to it, especially the main foyer. Very old school and old fashioned feel to the entire place. The gynormous tacky water fountain wasn't working that day. The chapel (#1) had beautiful stained glass walls and ceiling. The chairs were covered in what seemed like white spandex. The entire chair, including the legs were completely covered. Looked very strange like something from the Jetsons. The decor for the wedding was not impressive at all. There was an arch with fake flowers, they really LOVE fake flowers at this place. So tacky.

The reception was held on the second floor in a huge ballroom. It was such an odd set up. When we walked in there was a huge open space, which I guess was for dancing. When you turned to the right, there were two tables pushed in the corner. There was over 100 people there, so I don't understand why they decided to stuff all the other tables on the upper level of the ball room. There was stairs in the middle of the room that lead to the upper part. It was so difficult to maneuver around with out touching someone else or brushing against a table. Very uncomfortable.

The cocktail hour included meatballs (not good,) sliced roast beef ( not bad),cheese stuffed tortellini with alfredo sauce ( very good) Perogies ( not good), cheese platter (processed american cheese? Seriously?) fruit platter (fresh and delicious). Dinner consisted of salad ( tasted like bottled store brand vinaigrette) with just lettuce, no cukes, tomatoes, etc., a small plate of pasta with some tomato based sauce ( no seasoning). The salt shaker made its way around the table all night long. Chicken marsala (dry), mixed veggies ( overdone and underdone at the same time, needed salt), roasted potatoes (very good), Tilapia (extra FISHY). I was wishing I had filled up on the tortellini at this point. The rolls were soft, sweet and fresh. The wedding cake was beautiful. Looks can be deceiving. It was stale and dry. It tasted like it was made last week. What a shame. I was looking so forward to that all night. The jam/jelly filling was practically non-existent.

Our server was very nice and did a great job. I can't say the same for some of the others. Another guest saw several servers stuffing their faces while serving our dinner. I don't like to share my plate with strangers, how disgusting! You're supposed to feed your staff BEFORE their shift starts to prevent such behavior. It's unsanitary, that's how people get sick. One of them was so clumsy, he spilled coffee, almost burning one of the guests.

The D.J. was horrible. His playlist was as dated as the decor. The bride spent $65 pp. Hardly worth it. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice place to host a special event or if you are just trying to have a romantic night out. The inside of this place is just beautiful.

Snuffy's is a great place for a wedding. It is beautiful inside despite the look on the outside. I went to a wedding there once and it was beautiful. I would highly recommend it for your wedding.

Snuffy's Steak House has been in Scotch Plains, NJ for MANY years. It is well-known establishment located off of Rt. 22 Westbound. I have only eaten at Snuffy's Steak House twice [but have attended other events on the property) and the food has been great! It is expensive and it isn't really kid-friendly during the dinner hours. However, their lunch and buffet meals are less expensive and more welcoming to children.
