I called the Army recruiter station today, and spoke to SFC Wallis. She was very helpful, but could not answer my main question, which was, "where is XX unit located?" She transferred me to SFC Rivera. I spoke briefly to SFC Rivera, and I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. I asked him the same question I asked SFC Wallis, but he had a disrespectful tone with me, and repeatedly cut me off before I could even finish a sentence. He kept saying "Well you're getting the job you want, right? Isn't that the main goal?" I said no, that wasn't an all inclusive goal. Even if I had the best job in the military, being put into a unit with no room to grow would not benefit my career. I just asked where the unit was located, so I could look for a unit web page online. SFC Rivera then started yelling at me over the phone !! I told him that I would not be calling the station again and that he was incredibly disrespectful/ unprofessional. I will never visit this recruitment station ever again.

This recruiting station has gone downhill. The first time I visited this station, I was helped by four different recruiters, and had all of my questions answered. The second time I came to this station, I called ahead of time to make sure it was okay for me to come by (this station is over 1 1/2 hours from my house), and I was told to come over. I arrived 1 1/2 hrs later, as expected, and was told no one could help me because everyone in the office had to leave at that moment for training of some kind. I was not helped in the slightest, and was told to come back two weeks later to seek assistance. The third time I visited this recruiting station, I was helped first by SFC Rivera. I had to call different units/ high ranking enlisted personnel to ask about form numbers that the recruiters did not know, and to ask if there were will-train slots available within each unit. It sounded to me like I was doing the recruiters' job for them. The SFC that was assisting me (that I was assisting) had to leave to pick up his car from the auto shop, so I was asked to wait for him for another two hours. After sitting in the office for a while, the only person in the office, SFC Wallis, assisted me. Apparently today must have been "bring your children to work day," because her 16 year old daughter was also sitting in the office the entire time I was there. The SFC was allowing her daughter to take practice ASVAB tests while I was waiting patiently in the office. After a few minutes of SFC Wallis typing my name on the computer, the phone rang. She got up and walked away for about an hour. She paid minimal attention to me as I sat there and waited for her to walk back over. She seemed very interested in other recruits as they walked in and out throughout the day. She was very interested in her music playing, her ipod, and helping her 16 year old daughter take practice ASVABs. At one point, I asked the SFC if I would be able to leave anytime soon today. The SFC responded with an interesting look and "I thought you had nothing to do today." WRONG ANSWER. I found this to be very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. After responding so rudely to my question, SFC Wallis continued as she was, not giving me the slightest attention. She had to ask my name multiple times, my home address multiple times (even though she had my driver's license), and seemed as though she did not know how to perform her job efficiently. I arrived at this recruitment station at 9:45AM, and ended up finally leaving around 4:45PM... approximately 7 hours of my time wasted in a recruitment station. I would not recommend this Army recruitment station to anyone until the next cycle of recruiters rotates in... which won't be for a while.
