Cinco de mayo is an excellent Mexican Restaurant
that always fulfills your cravings for authentic cuisine. Especially the fajitas, chimichangas, burritos, and it's guacamole!! Come and see for your self!

I have no idea what that person was talking about.. but cinco de mayo is open.. and has some pretty good mexican food! It's not the best I've ever had, but it's authentic and sure beats Taco Bell.

Cinco De Mayo is located near a laundromat, so it's very convenient to just head in there for mexican food whenever you get hungry doing laundry. The food is just ok, but the area in which it's located is pretty shady.

Unfortunately, this place is closed already but it was a nice little store. I enjoyed talking the owners and they sold really cheap drinks and snacks. They were located near the laundromat I go to so it was inconvenient when they closed.

Had a craving for a pollo chimichanga. I walked in with my wife and child, stood at the counter for 5 minutes while being ignored. Turns out, you walk in, look at the take-out menu, decide what you want, and then when you try to order, are informed it's served by the staff. Finally, the counter person told us to sit anywhere. The same counter person turned out to be our "waitress".

Afetr taking our drink order and leaving us the same take out menu we'd been looking at near the counter (and finding out the chimichanga is $12), the waitress left us a plate of the greasiest nachos I have ever seen or had the misfortune to taste. This place SERIOUSLY needs to change their grease once in a while, and maybe think about draining the grease off food before it's plated. As soon as the waitress walked away, my son dipped one of the nachos in the salsa to find out it was a very spicy habanero, leaving him sitting there with mouth pain and nothing to drink, not even a sip of water.

The food was the biggest disapointment. First of all, the grease... my gosh this food is greasy, and as I said they obviously do not change the grease in their fryers with any regularity. If that grease was not a week old, I'll eat my hat. It would probably taste better.

Everything we ordered was served with the same bob of bland rice and bland frejoles on the side... for me the worst thing, was my chimichanga was packed full of the same bland rice that was served on the side. Rice in a chimichanga? I purused 10 Chimichanga recipes today and none called for rice. I honestly believe the rice was put in my chimichanga to avoid having to use too much chicken. A cost saving measure on a $12 chimichanga? When a .99 cent supermarket chimichanga tastes better? Not cool.

Our waitress did the best she could, and admitted she had only beed serving for a week and a half.

Pros: awesome mexican decor, sweet waitress
