On July 11, 2009, we were invited to celebrate an auspicious occasion that was completely ruined and tarnished by the attitude and racial remarks given by the owner of this restaurant, Sotto located in Princeton. On numerous phone calls and even when we sat down to eat, they never told us they were out of practically everything on the menu minus the chicken. Our waiter sat us down and never informed us of anything until we had ordered and literally went down the menu to find out numerous items were not available. Usually in this kind of scenario, these things tend to happen, however when you are out of everything from shrimp to scallops to lobster to hamburger buns to simply even having straws it starts to get a little ridiculous. All of this would have been forgotten, yet the owner was soo rude and such a nuisance about it, that there was no way to let it go. He informed us that he didn't have to tell us what was on the menu and what wasn't; he told us that there were 30 other restaurants in Princeton to go to and kept insisting that the menu was changing so he didn't feel it was necessary to inform customers that there was a "limited" menu. He used sarcastic tones to insult us, never apologized even once and as we were leaving he pointed to all of us and stated the remarks "you people are what ruin the experience", (all of us were of Indian, Asian and Persian decent), I have never in my 20 plus years been so insulted, his own staff looked at him and grabbed him from making any more of a scene with his remarks as I wanted to file a report and call the police. This is such a low for Princeton; you would never expect this kind of behavior from a business of this nature and especially in this kind of location. This man should seriously be taught a lesson as I aim to get back to this individual with the law rather than my words. He needs to be reprimanded and disciplined severely to avoid grave consequences in the Princeton community

The Italian food is very good although slightly on the pricey side for a student budget. The selection is varied, but everything is fantastic. It is a great place to celebrate a birthday.

I come here often for dinner. The food is good, but it's very overpriced. The restaurant is also very small. Sometimes the wait is long too. If visiting the Princeton area, I would recommend trying other restaurants before trying this one.

The restaurant is small and a dark, but decorated to be a very pleasant dinning environment. The food is good, but the service is excellent. It is more expensive than some other restaurants, but very good as place to spend a night out.
