Had the most amazing Sunday Brunch. From the Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast with Crispy Banana & the Pork Roll Egg & Cheese with Tomato Jam & Hollandaise sauce we thought things could not get better then they brought out the Breakfast Lobster Roll with a side of Lobster Hash Browns and lets not forget the New School Grilled Cheese with Cheddar & Pepper Jack Cheese, Bacon, Roasted Tomado, Avocado & Aioli. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Prices were great and dishes were huge

Asbury Park is full of fun and quirky restaurants and this one is no exception. Plan B offers fresh, seasonal fare of which much is obtained from local sources. Like many places in New Jersey, this restaurant is BYOB unless you want soda or water with dinner.

The food is fresh and very tasty. We were all a bit disappointed by the portion sizes for the price, but what it lacked in quantity it made up for in taste. The chef is incredibly creative, and the three of us all got different entrees and desserts in order to sample as much of the menu as we could. Unfortunately, I cannot even remember what we ate! The flavors and textures and combinations are outstanding but unfortunately all that is memorable of the experience.

The restaurant itself is quite small. Reservations were needed and the diner turnover was fairly quick. We kind of felt rushed to order and eat our meal, which may be part of the reason I can't remember more details. Our entrees hit the table just as we were done with the appetizer (this I do remember - it was fresh ravioli with this amazing cream sauce), which was good timing, but the waiter came back asking us for dessert orders before we had gotten a few bites of dinner. Dessert was pretty standard fare and nothing to die for. Just good food that the owner bakes on site. The check was delivered along with the dessert plates (big hint hint from the waiter I guess), so there was no lingering and chatting. The front of Plan B is all glass, so you can see those people waiting outside to be seated, which made us feel even more rushed as they pressed their faces to the glass and watched us eat.

Plan B does participate with certificates from Restaurant.com, but not Friday - Sunday. If you do choose to dine here, I really recommend getting a certificate (generally $25 off of $35 or $50+ ticket but you pay $2 - $5 for the certificate) and coming during the days when it is valid. It will help take the sting out of the bill.

Overall, while the flavors rocked the service and setting and size didn't. For us, this won't be a repeat experience without said handy certificate and a weekday visit.
