This Baton Rouge personal trainer has to be one of the best I??ve ever seen. I??m a retired personal trainer and I needed somebody to help me through my exercises in my old age. This trainer is great at what he does and I would say that his prices are very fair for what he gives. What he does differently is that he actually gets down and does the exercises alongside you. He??s not one of those lazy trainers. A great service and will go far in the industry of personal training.

Nothing has changed despite management's promises here to make improvements. Make sure you read the previous reviews and take them to heart.

Basically...they don't repair their electronics on their machines...won't let you have their wifi password...have "free" hour long monthly personal trainers who never give you more than 30 minutes...of "training" which is only demonstrating the machines anyway...and get this...unless you pay for additional training sessions they are "not allowed" to show you how to use free weights. And one other thing. Their few good trainers are all booked privately so you can't get a monthly session scheduled with them. Stay out of this contract if you can!

Ann H. I agree with you 100%. When I joined the gym the only children in the pool were during family swim on Sunday. It was great. I could go after work and exercise and destress. Now they not only have group swimming lessons for children that are scheduled (which one of the life guards posts) there are also private lessons that are scheduled when it is convenient for the parents and instructors. What you may not know is that a parent doesn't even have to be a member of the gym! Preference is given to everyone but the adult members. I wrote a letter about my concerns and a message was left on my machine about how they understand my frustration but evening is the only time parents can bring their kids. Even public pools have adult only swim time. I was told that my concerns would be passed on to the owners, but I have yet to hear from them. I too hope that they are making enough money from these lessons to cover the membership fees I no longer will be paying.

OK, so I thought it was just me and while I am still "steaming", I figured let me check out Better Business Bureau and/or reviews online before I make a phone call to complain. I have another appt. set up for next week and now quite honestly after after reading these reviews i'm not going to waste my time with either. Rather, I will just seek out another gym in my area. I have never in my life as a consumer, exp. such pressure! It's true, these sales people are like robots and rude beyond belief. I was treated horribly and made to feel like I need them! I also felt like I was treated like a child. I was going in for the "$10/month" deal and made it clear on the phone that is what was bringing me in. I also made it clear that I just wanted classes. I had no idea when I got there that I'd be in for such a lecture and that over an hour of my time was required. After the first salesman clearly was "done" with me and I asked for a manager, I dealt with the GM. While he generally was nicer than the first guy, he looked like he seriously needs to let up on the "roids". Basically I got the same robotic speech. I started taking notes because that is how I "roll" and he stopped mid-convo to tell me that I was not allowed to take notes because if I did, I couldn't possibly comprehend what he was telling me. To which, I responded that I was an adult business woman and I was fully capable of "walking and chewing gum" at the same time and was a master at "multi-tasking". To pacify him, I put the pen down momentarily and then just proceeded to take notes. We talked about my goals and I basically said that I just needed to get out of the house more and to de-stress. I told him I hadn't been in a gym in years as I run primarily for fitness and while I'm not in the shape I was 15 years ago, if I lost a few pounds and toned up, that would be great, but that wasn't my primary motivating factor for joining....again, I need to de-stress. He went on/on about cardio vs. strength training and at times quizzing me about metabolism, etc. WTF, I'm no expert! I told him I was VERY BUSY that I needed to get out of there ASAP to go visit my mom in a nursing home and all I wanted to do was pay for a membership so I could go visit my mom and get back to work and start with fitness classes next week. He told me that I was "Type A" personality and I was very controlling. Gee, I didn't know that membership hindered on a "Myers-Briggs" evaluation. Is this a gym or am I interviewing for a job? He told me there was no way I was going to control the membership process. He then basically told me I was miserable and that I'd be a much happier person if I just attained my fitness goals. What goals? I didn't state any goals other than I needed to de-stress. While he did "peg" me as Type A-controlling and while I might be a bit miserable (LOL - walk in my shoes the past few years) I usually don't bother anyone. Again, I came with debit card in hand and all I wanted to do was sign a membership (and probably he could have made $ off of me) and get started with doing classes. Un "F-ing" real! What a shame, beautiful club in Mullica Hill, but I'd be a fool to give these people my $ after what I experienced!

I just returned home after going to check out this future fitness with my sister and her boyfriend. We got to the gym around 1:45 and were standing there for about 5mins before even being spoken to. finally i said that i would like to talk to someone about memberships because I had about 6 people who are interested in all joining the same gym. I had to fill out all this paperwork before even talking to someone. finally a half-hour later "JEFF" came over and took us on a "tour". The "tour" was literally him pointing to free weights and machines for toning. he asked me what i wanted to know about the gym and i said "prices would be nice" he then told me that we would "NOT BE A GOOD FIT FOR THIS GYM" and i said then I guess we should leave then, he then told us to leave and waved us on out of the door. I asked the lady at the front desk to talk to a manager, But "JEFF" came up and got in my face and said he was the manager. I asked for contact information for a supervisor and he told me that there was not supervisor. We were so shocked by the treatment we had there that we just left without explanation as to why we were being treated this way. But I guess the reason there was a total of eight people in the gym on a Friday at 2 was because the sales staff and "Manager" really have no respect for their customers or guests. I guess I should have taken the guy that was canceling his membership at his word and just left then. I'm going to go check out Giant fitness.

I am loving all these negative reviews regarding Future Fitness!! I too went in hoping to take advantage of the $10.00 per month, $1.00 down deal. What turned me off right away was when I asked the manager why all the questions with applying and so serious with the info they needed, he says "we need to make sure you're right for our gym". REALLY??? I would guess if you were stupid enough to pay all the hidden costs and additional fees they throw in every other month, then you are right for their gym. What a freaking joke! I am there to workout, bike a little, sweat it out. I don't need some person eyeing me up to see if I'm "RIGHT" for their gym. Go to GIANT FITNESS. They literally chrage you $10.00 per month and a one time per year $29.00 maintenance fee. Case closed.

I went to this gym because of the $10 per month ad. It is misleading. They have pushy sales tactics, but despite that I agreed to a $40.00 a month membership. At the time $40.00 for full use of gym equipment, locker room, classes and a pool that's not too bad. However, I didn't expect some tough times ahead. I took a job that required much time and energy from me. I was told to be put on "Hold or freeze" you have to go in and sign paperwork. Then I was told even though I won't be there I still have to pay $5.00 a month to keep my membership. On Nov. 1st the day that period ended I planned on calling about canceling the membership. They very quickly took $40.00 early in the am out of my account before I had a chance to call. They only accept payment via debit/credit cards which I don't like. ( I actually lost the job I had and couldn't afford any gym at the time. ) I went in and was told I had to give 90 days notice to cancel. The manager told me he could work out giving me another 90 "freeze" period at $5.00 a month and then I had to call accounting to get the $40.00 charge refunded. When I called accounting, the accountant wouldn't refund the money. The woman was rude by cutting me off mid-sentence. She had a "Too bad for you- tough" attitude when I told her that I absolutely couldn't pay the money right now. She told me I would have to get a lawer because I'm under contract. Of course I can't pay a lawyer about a $40.00 charge. Quite frankly I don't care about some contract that their rich lawyer came up with. I hadn't been in that gym for more than 6 months and they continue to take my money. If this gym wants customers who need to temporarily quit they should show some empathy to anyone having troubles. That will make someone willing to return once the problems are solved. However, they have turned me off and I will find a new gym when things get better.
I went on hold for a month due at my old gym due to illness and it was simply done over the phone with no charge. I had cancelled gym memberships before because I moved and it was easily done over the phone. That's how it should always be done.

Sales was totally misleading. Intimated on the phone $10/month. The salesperson said that price was just to bring people in. Even though I stated on principle I do not sign contracts the first visit for anything, he continued HIGH PRESSURE and was angry when I didn't sign. Person at front desk was not especially friendly. People participating at gym did not seem friendly either. It's a shame because it's a beautiful facility, very convenient location with parking and not much traffic. Heard very good things about LA Fitness on 45.

Don't join this gym. I regretted I did. I have told my friends and other family members not to join ... more likely than not, you are going to be disappointed. BIG TIME!
The sales pitch was HORRIBLE, something that I have never seen in all the gyms I have ever joined.
I won't be surprised if they eventually get sued for misrepresentation.
The spin classes are HORRIBLE. First of all, very few of the classes are really challenging enough ... they are too easy!! After 55 minutes of spinning, I felt like a waste of my time in most of the classes. There are a couple of good instructors, but just a couple. The class schedule changes every month!!! Are you kidding me????
I belong to LA Fitness but Future is closer, so switched. I regretted and had paid a huge installment and am stuck now. For those considering joining, DON'T!!! You will soon regret. The gym is definitely not worth the amount they charge every month. If you charge so much (much more than any gyms in the area), make sure you have the quality too!!
And the general manager - Wow, I don't have words to describe him. Why didn't they fire him is beyond comprehension. He is ignorant, rude & unprofessional.

Horrible horrible horrible sales pitch--seriously--is this 1950? Not to mention the ad--$10 a month--is an outright lie. Why hasn't anyone sued them yet? My husband called 2x just to make sure there were no catches to that price before we went down for the tour. They lied. We proceeded to go through the very painful & drawn out pitch to find out that it would cost us upwards of $100 bucks a month for a couple. No one sells like this anymore. The funny thing is, if they had just been honest from the start, we probably would have joined regardless of the price since they are the only ones to have a pool. Instead, we left & never went back. Future Fitness: if you want the kind of clientele that can pay your high prices, you need to overhaul your sales technique. During the presentation, I felt discriminated against by sex, class, and body type. You need to hire the type of people who have the intellectual ability to service high-end clients, otherwise you will be closing doors soon.

Most of the reviews so far on this site are accurate. I joined this gym prior to it being built and went to the Cherry hill location due to working up that way until Mullica Hill location was up and running. When I began to workout at the Mullica Hill location amazingly they never can locate my file but can always over charge you and never put my account on freeze even though I have the paper I signed to initiate my 3 month freeze since I was about to deliver a baby and be on exercise restrictions to recover from surgery. The temperature is always hot - I want to sweat due to my workout not due to the nasty girls at the front desk are too cold since they dress inappropriately. Half the machines do not work and half the tv monitors do not work so you can not watch your child in the daycare all the time. The daycare workers most of them are good but there is an older lady that is usually there friday mornings that is just mean. And they do not let you know when your child needs a diaper change they just let them sit in it until you finish your work out and they wont change the diapers...here comes another diaper rash. The schedule for classes is horrible and suggestions are never considered. STAY AWAY. If I wasn't afraid of how much I might need to shell out to quit now that there are several other gyms between my house and Future fitness I would have left. I am waiting for that expensive monthly fee to be over.

Stay away from the Mullica Hill Future Fitness, it has become the YMCA only with high montly fees. I joined becasue they had a pool, I am rehabing an injury and can only use the pool to exercise at this time. First everything was great, then they kept changing instructors and times. Now they have the pool open to a local organization and it is full of kids at all hours of the day and evening. If it is not an open swim, there are little ones having swimming lessons. I paid good money to join besides a monthly fee. I hope that they are pulling down at least $400 a year per kid for the swim because there is about to be a revolt of the membership who want to use the pool but can't without dodging kids all of the time. I say we leave and head to LA fitness where maybe they will care about more than money. It is NOT the deal I was sold. BUYER BEWARE.

My husband and I were ready to join and because of the sales games, we walked away. I couldn't get a straight answer about anything. Every question I asked was redirected and diverted. Why is it such a secret? I think Future Fitness would have alot more members if they were upfront about the cost of membership. I even told the sales person that I was going to LA Fitness--which I will join tonight---and they just said OK as if they just didn't care. This isn't an isolated event either. I stopped in a few months ago, got a tour, worked out for the day, and was told if I didn't commit to joining, they wouldn't let me join in the future. People want to exercise. They don't want to feel like they are being scammed by a sales pitch. Retraining on the membership strategy should be a MUST and Future Fitness should be seriously reevaluating their tactics. Try it. I bet you'd see an increase in memberships. After reading all the other similar experiences, I have to wonder if Future Fitness even cares. Why is Dodd still functioning in this capacity. It can't be working. It would be helpful if dani@futurefitnesscenters.com responded with an action plan instead of offering a superficial response that does nothing to remedy the situation. The same sales nightmares are a recurrent theme.

Future Fitness in Mullica Hill, what they don't tell you when you join. When he is all done explaining costs, and you think you now know what you are going to be paying, at signing the contract, they hit you with additional costs of yearly maintance, paid yearly. Then you go to use the equipment, only to find out that more than half of the cardio monitors don't work, heart rate, etc. Even after telling them numerous times, they do not maintance their equipment properly. And if that is not bad enough, the atmosphere in the gym is terrible. Very poor air quality, temperature is way to hot, and very stuffy, There are showers in the locker room that leak water all over the floor and soak the carpet when they are used, then causing a horrible smell, that caused me to leave, as I could not tolerate tthe odor. It took over a week of complaining for them to get rid of the odor. They are always out of supplies on the gym floor and the locker room, most of the time it stays empty, sometimes they try to sub something else when you complain.

my wife was already a member here, she joined before the gym officially opened and got a good deal but she did mention the high pressure pitch at the time. When my old gym contract was up I wanted to join this gym as it was more convenient and had child care etc. I like that there's no contract, the gym is pretty clean and never too busy to get on the machine I want. Also, there are a ton of classes and meeting with the trainer and nurse once a month for the quick review is beneficial. The sales guy that helped me was nice enough, he was prepped by my wife I was gonna join so he was pretty straight with me. He did mention he wasn't gonna try to upsell me, which apparently he was supposed to do, but other then that bit of shadyness our conversation was good. I won't mention his name because I don't want to get him in trouble for not being a used car salesman. LOL. My deal was very fair, I like the facility and the only real complaints I have are the TV monitors on a good 1/3 of the cardiovascular equipment don't work ; I wish they were open later then 6 on Sundays and I wish they had pole dancing for fitness classes so I didn't have to drive into Philly on Wednesday :)

I agree with everyone that posted on here. I went in a few months ago when I too received the flyer advertising the $1 down and $10 a month because I wanted to get in shape for my wedding. I too spoke with Dodd and had an awful experience. I wanted to find out the details to the flyer and how much monthly it would run me. Dodd was VERY rude and would not tell me the price after 45 mins of his tour and being interrogated. I couldn't believe what I had to go through to join the gym and they tell you if you don't sign up that day you can't. I walked out of rude Dodd and haven't gone back since!! There are plenty other gyms that do not make you feel terribe or treat you so rudely. Dodd needs to be fired!

After hearing the sales pitch from the most unprofessional person that I have dealt with in years, I really feel like I need a shower. This salesperson Dodd needs to refine his skills or lose his job as it really is hurting the intergrity of the business. I'm sure that more people walk out after dealing with him then sign up. Horrible sales job. Go in there knowing what you want to pay and walk out if you don't get it. I don't think there is a set price for the services, they make it up as they go.

This gym is all HYPE. The sales pitch is all about if "YOU ARE WORHTY OF THIS GYM" then they overprice everything, you must sign up the day you take the tour, you cannot cancel for 2 years, then you must pay 3 months in advance to cancel. Its unreal that people dont do their research first. I did not do my research either and their pushy sales staff got me. BEWARE!!!

Plenty of other gyms in the area that are much better.

I have been going to this gym for over a year now. They were VERY pushy in the begining but it was a closer option than my current gym. The gym is real nice but you pay a ton for it. I don't need all the extra bells and whistles having been pretty athletic in H.S. and after. Got a coupon in the mail the other day for the dollar down and 10.00 a month...scam. Talk to the ever popular Dodd about and got the real low down. It's good for three months...You have to sign a three year contract afterwards for like 42.00 a month. Now this is for my wife who doesn't need extra "services" either. Well after i was insulted and told that he (Dodd) could get me into shape, after looking me up and down, I left. Well i guess that makes him feel good telling me basically that i was fat...If i was in NFL condition i wouldn't need to pay his rude ass to work out! Currently looking for a gym with good customer service and not 100.00+ a month for a couple to go.

i received a coupon in the mail and decided to call to get a simple answer on monthy rates and initiation fees. Boy was I in for the run around! I thought car sales and buying a mattress were stressful. This gym is on that level. I am serious. No straight forward answer, 20 mins later on the phone, frustrated, ..earing about other gyms in the area in the coming year. I won't be subjected to such awful business practices.

I went into the club fully aware of the sales pitch coming my way. I don't think it was that bad, as it was beneficial to have a 'give and take' conversation about the club and what my expectations were concerning my exercise goals. My daughter is a personal trainer in North Jersey, and when I told her what I got for the price, she said gyms with a pool in North Jersey charge $100/mo. I am paying a fraction of that to go to Future Fitness. So take the time for the tour, and don't cut off your nose to spite your face. It is an overall good deal. I can't say it's 5 star (world class), but it is very good! Compared to the other gyms in the area it is a 5 star.

Do NOT allow your hard earned money to support this establishment. Do NOT visit this gym and expect to have a good customer experience. Sales practices are insulting, management does not show respect for their clients nor put the customer first and they provide false information during the pitch.

My experience: Brought a friend (who planned to join) as a visitor and the abrasive techniques of the sales manager, the lack of flexibility in the sales pitch and general rudeness of the staff resulted in losing a new sale and me cancelling mine and my husband's membership.

Prior to bringing a friend to "visit" the gym for a class I called to understand their visitor policy. The receptionist advised that the visitor would have to tour the gym and meet with the sales manager. Arrive 30 minutes in advance of the class to allow for the tour (aka Sales Pitch). OK so far. Upon arrival (35 minutes prior to class) I reconfirmed the expected duration of the tour. Finally, met Dod - Sales Manager ( or should I say sales killer) and again confirmed that we wanted to take a class and that the tour would last 30 minutes.

Bottom line is that sales pitch was extremely aggressive an did not end in 30 minutes. She could not take the class until he finished even though he and his staff misinformed us on multiple occasions. This is manipulative. Giving false information in order to get in a sales pitch. He proceeded to imply that clients could not be trusted,- although the gym gets my dues every month, on-time!!! Really???? They can not be trusted. He has know respect for our time (a clear sign of lack of leadership) and it's really about time that this establishment re-evaluate their sales approach and philosophy because IT SUCKS!!!

I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to write one about the experience I had at Future Fitness in Mullica Hill.
I went in there one day, fully intending to join. I had recieved a flyer which had special prices on it if you were a member of some select businesses. Even though it was twice as much as my current gym, I was willing to pay it for the convenience and the extra ammenities.

I asked if I could just have a quick tour of the place and they said they couldn't until I sat down for a meeting (the sales pitch). Well, half way through the suffocating sales pitch, I was ready to leave. He was explaining that I HAD to sign up that day (before I left) in order to get the pricing advertised on the flyer. (It did not say that, or in any way elude to it anywhere on the flyer). Even though I walked in there fully intending to join, I really resented the fact that I couldn't even go home and discuss it with my husband, sleep on it, etc....if I wanted the price that was advertised on the flyer.

He realized I was ready to walk out the door, so he said he could give me a quick "partial tour", but that he couldn't give me the full tour - because then the one time offer wouldn't be available anymore. I explained to him that I was really impressed that I walked in there fully intending to sign up and that he had managed to completely talk me out joining their gym. Then I left.

About 2 weeks later, I noticed that the literature they gave me had a coupon on the back of it for a one week free pass to the gym. I figured that would be perfect - I could check out the gym like I wanted to in the first place, and then join. I called the gym first to see if there were any stipulations regarding the coupon (aftering seeing how they operate). The lady on the phone said the only one was that I had to live or work within 10 miles of the gym. So I proceeded to pack my gym bag and give them one more try.

So I walked back in and showed them the coupon, fully expecting to be able to work out that day. The sales person (different than the first time I went) explained that I could only get the 1 week free pass if I signed up first. I really couldn't believe he was serious! (who's the "genius" who came up with THAT marketing plan?)

Needless to say, I left - and certainly will not be returning any time in the future. I figure if they can actually talk me out of joining TWICE...then there's got to be nothing but headaches down the road for anyone who does join.

Mullica hell gym!!!!!!!!!!! do not go, save you money and time. Find somewhere better. Dodd should be dum dum. All I can say is there are no stars here just rude staff. They don't care about you just the money. The pool, locker rooms, and the spa seem to never be clean. The floors smell like bad feet..........! no eatting off the floor. You will get sick, just walking to the bathroom. When the hot tub is working, there is always dirt in it, and hair. The pool is hot or soooo cold you can not even swim. The swim classes always change times and days, so a person never get a work out together. The girls at the front desk are mean, smile say hi, or kiss my a--- nonething all you will here is your number. number ....

This is by far the worst management group I have ever dealt with at a health club and potentially in general. It took a 45 minute meeting as well as various sheets of information to fill out when all I was trying to do was get some pricing. The manager, Dodd, said that he can not give pricing without giving a tour. I told him that I was not insterested in a tour as I would only be joining because it was the closest option and that I have been going to health clubs for the past 15 years. He then went on about how "they don't let just anyone join" and that "I have never seen a gym like theirs". He is the epitome of a sleezy salesman and used various stereotypes in his pitch such as no "muscleheads are allowed" and that there wouldn't be anyone "hitting on my wife". This threw me for quite a loop and seemed very unprofessional. Quite frankly he is one of the worst salesmen that I have ever dealt with and the vibe I got was just that he was an odd and classless person. He kept pushing and pushing his sales pitch which made the meeting quite uncomfortable. I would reccomend exploring all other options (although there aren't many in the area) before joining this gym.

I contacted Future Fitness EIGHT separate times to inquire about swimming lessons. I never once received a call back. Further, the last time I called (eighth time) they told me they would transfer me to the Aquatics Director, put me on hold and then moments later asked who was calling, again put me on hold, only to return 3-5 minutes later and explain that the Aquatics Director had mysteriously gone missing and that they would leave my message for him.
If this is the type of service you can expect from FF, then I'd strongly recommend to steer clear. I know that I will be joining Super Fitness in Logan Township for my gym/workout needs.

Once a month Dennise has a bingo day for us seniors ages 60 and over. It is a lot of fun. I think we keep her on her toes. She never thought us over the age of 60 would be able to out work her. Love the day for us. Keep it up.

My son has been totally afraid of the water and I'm not sure why. I signed him up for swim lessons to try to get him motivated to go in the water. What a difference five lessons has made. He goes in the pool with no issues and is doing really well learning how to swim.

I have not one nice thing to say about this club. The sales tactics used to join a gym are just insulting. The high pressured sales invloved in joining this gym are unbelievable. I stopped in with my free two week pass which I couldn't use without being harrased by the sales manager. He told me that if I joined today it would only cost me 600.00 and then 30 per month for life. I looked at him like you must be joking. A few weeks prior the deal was 400.00 and 30 per month for life. I think they just make up the prices as they go along. Also he stated that it was a cash only price. Something doesn't sound right here. I decided to join planet fitness which was a good choice. Not as elaborate as future but I like the fact that there no high pressured sales and its easy going. Pluss only 10.00 per month. STAY AWAY FROM FUTURE FITNESS

The club is fairly nice and really the only option if you live in Mullica Hill, but their sales process and sales manager are right out of the movie "Used Cars". It starts with a free trial, but you can't take that free trial until you go through a 45 minute tour. At th eend of the tour you can get a special one time only price. But, they can't tell you the price until you agree to sign. If you say no, they keep lowering the the cost. The pitch man is normally Dodd. He is the epitome of a sleezy salesman and an insult to your intelligence. The club is nice and the people are nice, but Dodd and his sales process is an insulting joke.

This club was all about the sales pitch. I received a 2 week free pass on their website. This was followed by a lengthy sales pitch on the phone their club. Then I had to come into the club for a meeting with Dobb who told me the meeting would last about 45 minutes. I arrived on time, after being reminded twice that if I was going to be late, to call ahead of time. I waited for my apt aprox 15 minutes. During my wait the sign in girl handed me a 2 week pass. Then Dobb arrived and took me upstairs and began the sales pitch again. He told me that they are offering special promotions that I could only get on my first day at the club, blah blah blah. I could see this would be a long pitch. I told him I was going to make my decision about joining after I used the club for the 2 weeks. He told me that isn't how they do things. I said fine I am leaving now, picked up my gym bag ( as I was under the impression that I would be working out that night) and made my way past the reception desk. I told the girl who had me wait for my apt that I thought the manager should know that Dobb would not allow me to use my 2 weeks without joining. She told me he was the manager. Enough said! Who knows about their service?! You have to pay for it with some undefined price!

This gym opened in August and I am so happy with it. The scheduled classes are pretty hard. I love the kick-boxing class on Sunday mornings at 9am. He changes the class each week so you don't get bored.
