After waiting a number of months, we finally visited the Tabor Grill. Having seen the parking lot almost always full, we were excited.

However, our overall experience was mixed. The wait staff was enthusiastic with a good knowledge of the menu, and the in-house micro-brew beer choices were a refreshing change of pace.

The pacing of service was uneven. We waited a long time for any food (including bread) to come out was painfully long. Then, almost as soon as we had appetizers, the main course arrived.

The food was less than spectacular. My fish (Tilapia) wasn't anything special, and other people in my party had their steaks not cooked to their liking. The portion size for both appetizers and entrees was nothing special. It seems like one more restaurant that bills itself as gourmet and uses that as a reason to skimp on how much they prepare for you.

Finally, as other reviewers have noted, the prices are above average for the quality received. Dinner for 4 with appetizers and a single round of drinks ran in excess of $150. For that money, I'd rather go to a dozen other places.

While my experience wasn't terrible, I'm certainly in no hurry to return

This cozy little restaurant supplies an elegant atmosphere as well as exquisite entrees. The price that you pay, which can be pricey, is for the ambiance and service. They have friendly staff who are happy to wait on you. I recommend this for anyone looking for a great place to take a date or have a business dinner.
