.

Located at the Old Student Center on the UCSD Campus next to the General Store Co-Op and UCSD Bike Shop this once student run business is now under the supervision of an external manager and Associated Students. It's true the Grove was in debt, a lot actually, but the new ideas and advertising for it are just about the same as when it was under student control. Overall the renovations have added indoor seating, a nicer looking interior, more food displays, but overall the majority is the same. Menus have changed a bit with sandwiches now being handmade rather than sold packaged, and they do have a pretty good barbeque though it only lasts until 2pm on weekdays. $5-6 will get you a drink, chips and a burger, not bad and it's pretty tasty too. A problem that still exists is the Grove competes with Porter's Pub, the Co-Op and Ha Thai with a pretty similar menu to the one it had before the "new look." The outdoor seating area is still very popular and you can still grab some tea or coffee and read outside and maybe see your chemistry professor out there. Overall it's a nice place to grab a drink, food, hang out with friends or just relax after a long day
