This is a safe location with a 24 hour manned secure entrance. On the other hand, the staff can be rude. If you rent here, be sure to look at all of the fine print on the lease especially the extra pages that advise of what you have to do when you want to move. There is no pro-rated rent for moving out. If you want to give your 30 day notice, do so at the end of a month. If you give notice on the second of the month, you will be paying them for two more months rent. I lived there almost three years and annotated a problem with the lock on my front door. In almost three years, they never fixed it. I could stand and look at my front door and see daylight around the sides. My friend who also lived there had the same issue at his place. When he complained about it, they told him to buy some weather stripping to put around it. The windows are also drafty. They are going to charge you for cleaning the carpet after you move out and deduct it from your security deposit whether you have it cleaned yourself or not. The funny thing is that my unit smelled like wet dog when I moved into it. I think they probably just take your money and claim to have cleaned it if they think they can get away with it. They have 3rd party billing system for heat and hot water. However the payments go directly to the apartment management and they apply that money to whatever they choose (an extra fee...) then they put a note on your door claiming you still owe them money. There is no accounting for the money you send. YOU CAN DO BETTER FOR THE MONEY.
