DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER!!! FAIR WARNING!!! WHY??? ====>>> On September 1, 2009, I entered into the Eboni Beauty Supply II in Troy, the original Eboni listed in Hazel Park is out of business, to make a purchase. I picked up a pair of unpackaged earrings that I liked and they fell apart in my hands. I notified the clerk who worked and she didn't look very surprised. I really liked the earrings so I looked for a packaged pair and inspected them before I purchased them, they looked fine. When I got home I notice that the chain that wrapped around one of the hoops completely fallen apart so I decided to return it. Though it indeed was inexpensive I never got the chance to where the earring much less take it out the package. On September 2, I entered the store to return the earrings when I looked over and saw the same earrings that fell apart in my hands sitting on a for sale display as if it never broke. I told the owner of the store that my earrings were defective and I wanted to return them and he reply no returns or exchanges because one we sell them to you we don't know what you may have done to them. I then replied I have obviously never worn them and they are still in the package and the earrings you have on sale, pointing to the once broken earrings for sale, were broken the day before. He replied they aren't broken now and it was obvious he attempted to fix the defective pair on display. I replied how about you fix mine like you fixed those because the associate that worked when I bought the earrings can even tell you that your earrings are defective. He replied even if its defective, no exchanges or returns on jewelry and once you buy it thats it. I asked him why do you sell the jewelry if its defective? He repeated no exchanges or returns on jewelry. By that time I was upset and just replied ok and walked out with the earrings I purchased in hand. I believe that this business is making a profit off of customers purchasing defective products and they are well aware that the majority of their merchandise is poorly made or defective.
