To all the people who are getting called with the so called "free membership" winners. When someone goes in to sign up for the gym, they have you fill out a bunch of raffle tickets to win a tv, or some other prize. For every person's name and number you write down, you get more raffle tickets to win the prize. So for those of you on the DNC list, thats probably how your getting called. Someone you know who goes there is giving it to them. And as for the gym. Its a piece of crap. Outdated machines that break frequently, unfriendly staff, and horrible locker rooms are just the start. If you like working out in fancy places with nice equipment don't go here. I only go there because my membership is only like 10 dollars. Thats the only benefit

I submitted complaints with both agencies, I'd like there to be some serious repercussion for businesses such as this who have absolutely no ethical standing and take advantage of individuals.

Like most others, received phone call saying I won "second price" in a drawing, where first place was a Wide-Screen HD Plasma TV. Second place was a free 2-year membership for myself and one other. Went down to the office to collect, found out I had to pay "administrative fees." Still ended up paying 1 year up front. Was told I could pay the other year after 12 mos. 2 mos. later I have their collections department calling me, I explained and they didn't pester me for a few months. 6 months later my "debt" was passed onto a real collections agency where I was forced to pay it- Note I haven't stepped foot onto this gym since I signed up for it. Very manipulative and possibly even illegal, I have a cell phone so I have no idea how they got my phone number. The number is also on the do not call list, meaning they illegally called me and solicited to me and *lied* to cover their tracks. For the record, I *never* sign up for any drawings so they got my number another way.

Pros: None

Cons: It's a hoax

.

Overall this is an ok place to workout. Some of the equipment is a little old and outdated but it gets the job done. Membership costs make of for the old equipment.

Pros: most freeweights in grand rapids, great atmosphere, 24hrs

After getting an illegal telemarketing call from this place I did a search on Google and came up with their website at strengthbeyondfitness dot com (can't post links I guess) and saw this is a rip-off.

Pros: huh?

Cons: Everything About This Place

.

I got a phone call that I won a free membership at this gym. I was excited about it so I went to the gym on Plainfield and was told that I had to pay almost $180 in cleaning fees. WHAT?! I walked out. I found out later that this place just call anyone and tells them they won a membership. I can't see how all this money is going to cleaning products as it smells.

This gym is a rip-off. They told me I won a membership only to find out I had to pay $200 to claim it. Plus I had a friend who works out there in which they charged him for an extra 6 months but gave no refund. This is a scam gym.

They don't pay their employees. I worked for a few days for this place and was never paid. All I get is the run-around when I try to get a pay check. Will be filing complaints with the state.

Pros: No taxes

Cons: No money

This place will call you (even though you're on the DO NOT CALL list) and tell you that you've won a free membership. The catch is that you must pay almost $200 to 'claim' the membership.
