This place is the worst ever. Bought a new boat here. What a mistake. Dave in service is a habitual liar and has more excuses and stall tactics than anyone I've know. Judy is no better. You will never get what you want. Trust me STAY

First of all, I will give them credit for giving a good deal to beat out Cabela??s. I gave them a deposit to get the ball rolling. The motor would be there in 2-3 days max per Cooper the salesman and the boat will be ready in one week. I call the day before it??s supposed to be ready and I got the ??the motor isn??t here yet?. Things like this happen, but this was no excuse for not communicating this to me. Once I gave the deposit all communication stopped. They NEVER call you back as promised. If you are lucky enough, they may answer when you call and try to get an update. Communication is the key and they don??t get it.
OK, I finally get the boat 3 weeks after the date promised. Brought it home, checking it over again and see the motor cover is scraped up pretty good towards the stern. Called them right away, ??oh yeah it was damaged, but we ordered you a new one?. Thanks for letting me know up front?pffft. It was supposed to have the onboard battery charger installed ??oops sorry forgot to add that to the work order?. Another Gold Star for Cooper. I had them install a Kenwood radio. Before I left, I turned it on, nothing but static. ??The radio didn??t come with an antenna? per Cooper, another Gold Star. REALLY, you installed a $200 radio and didn??t install an antenna for $5. The rigging kid installed one real quick while I was there. He plugged it in and left the remainder of the antenna in the plastic bag it came with. The radio cover stuck, hitting the switch panel every time you opened/closed it. The rigging job was a joke, wires dangling, just messy and unprofessional. The side panel was missing screws, they put them in before I left. It was loose and I noticed it right away.
I took it on the lake the next day after I fixed the radio cover. Before the launch I stopped at the gas station to add some gas. Flipped the key, no gas registered on the gauge, figured it was empty. It took about 12 gallons in a 19 gallon tank, still nothing registered. Finally, made it to the launch, started fine, off we go. None of the gauges worked. GPS says max was 23mph. The performance bulletin states 33mph at 6000 rpm. The boat maxed out at 3800rpm. I did my homework and they flat out put the wrong prop on it. Gave me a 13 x 17 when the specs say 13 5/8 x 14. Yamaha props are white and this one was black. It??s a cheaper Michigan wheel prop. They saved some money and installed a cheap prop vs a genuine factory Yamaha prop that matches. The motor was also mounted in hole #1, but the bulletin clearly states hole #2.
Get it back home check out the console, guessing a ground wire came loose. The hot wire was not connected. They used butt connectors for the install. Who uses butt connectors on a boat? I soldered the wire and the now the volt meter works. No hot going to the other gauge. I had to install a jumper wire to get juice to the other gauge. So they delivered this boat without the gauges working. Another Gold Star. The radio also slid freely in and out of the chassis. Not installed correctly. I fixed this too.
I have this brand new boat and the gauges don??t work, wrong prop, wrong mounting hole, wiring was a mess, onboard battery charger not installed, poor radio installation. Where is the quality check for delivered boats at this place? Or better stated, do they have a quality check at all?

I haven't been back to them in 7 years. I had the engine short block replaced by anderson. Needless to say it was expensive, they used automotive head gaskets. Although it has been 7 years, the head gasket on port side of engine failed.

I have been a boat owner for over 10 years owning several boats with my last two purchased from Anderson Boat Sales. They are very friendly and make any of my purchases smooth and easy. I did not feel over whelmed or pushed to buy a boat.

Anderson's Boat Sales is exceptionally poor at managing basic the basic functions of boat service. Ordering parts takes far too long and they appear to have no (or very little) ability to track shipments once orders are placed. Estimates are useless and in my experience take at least 3 to 4 times longer than stated by the service manager. Summer in Michigan is too short to waste valueable time with these incompetents who really don't know how (or perhaps don't care) to run their business properly.
I won't do business with Anderson in the future and suggest that potential customers look at other options before considering Anderson Boats

I bought a pontoon boat with an electric engine from them 4 years ago and they store my boat in the winter. When they delivered my boat in early may the shaft to my engine was bent. They of course denied damaging it but it was not damaged when they picked it up and other boat dealers sid it could only be bent by backing it up into something while on the trailer. They said it would take a week or 2 to fix it . It is 3 months and I still dont have my motor . They blame it on Minnekota but when we called them they said Anderson never ordered the part. Dave the manager is the worst he outright lies to you. He said the motor was ready and they would have it on the boat last Saturday we waited all day and they never came. When I called the following Monday they said the motor wasnt done and they just started working on it that day and we should have it in a couple of days. By the following Saturday we still didnt have the motor and when we called they said they would be bringing it to us later that day. Again we waited and they didnt come or call. They outright lie to you and good luck trying to get them to call you back. Leaving a message is pointless because they will not return your call. Do not do business with this place buy a boat or service it somewhere else even if you have to pay more . If I ever get my engine back this is the last I will ever deal with them. I already filed a complaint with the better business bureau and would sue them if I had the time. STAY AWAY FROM ANDERSON BOATS !!!

During the fall of 2007, we took our just recently fully restored boat to this company to have the engine inspected for damage (cracks) due to water expansion as the boat wasn't winterized on time before weather freezing temperatures arrived. We were provided with a quote of just short of $5,000 to have the engine block and 2 new manifolds that were cracked replaced as well as full winterization and storage of the boat during the winter until spring. We provided them with a $3,000 deposit to have the service done and left the boat there during the winter season as they have suggested, with the remainder of the agreed price to be paid upon retrieval of the repaired boat in the spring. On the spring when we went there to pick the boat up, we discovered that the boat wasn't covered properly (shrink wrap) prior to storage and water was present in the interior of the boat. In addition to the cabin interior water damage (mold, mildew, stains) the window hatch was broken due to improper handling. After several unsuccessful attempts to have the water damage and window repaired by them, we have agreed with the store manager (Dave) on May 4th 2008 to have us perform the cleaning of the mold/mildew from the carpet and upholstery on our own with a corresponding reduction in price of the remainder payment that was due. The agreement was also made that he was going to personally order a new window hatch to replace the broken one (value of approx. $400), which has never materialized. Innumerous follow up calls and visits have been made to the store (in excess of 30) in the last 4 months to check the status of the window hatch order, and even today (Sep 3) Dave continues to promise that he is working on it but hasn't receive it yet.
Not to mention that they crashed our trailer and damaged the side light during multiple attempts to deliver us the boat with water inside!!
