Have eaten at J Pauls numerous times, seems like I always end up here when in town. As usual it was quite busy, I would suggest making reservations for any evening dining plans you may have. If there is space post up and have a drink at the bar where you will be sure to have a good time.

Seating is kinda strange here where if you sit in the back you can be sandwiched between two other tables if you are dining with a party of 2. Basically everyone is in your conversation, so don't go here on first date or if you want to talk about something serious.

The first good thing is the free pretzels which are homemade and piping hot.
The waitresses are always very courteous and come to your table frequently. I've had the Cuban, Filet and Crabcake Sandwiches when I've been here and they are all very good. Its no 4 star restaurant, but thats a nice thing in Georgetown. Use J Paul's as an escape from the high nosed crowd that walks the streets and take a load off for a casual night out and a place to grab some drinks.
