Brunch is fantastic at Poste. Located in the Hotel Monaco, it's a hidden gem in downtown DC. It's also comforting to know that most of their food and ingredients have been sourced from local farms and vendors. Dinner and happy hour at Poste is excellent, too. Try to go while the weather is still warm to enjoy the outdoor courtyard. It's the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

Recently I was asked to meet someone for lunch at Poste Brasserie in the Penn Quarter area. Having always loved Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out this restaurant. I tend to only treat myself to a more expensive lunch every once in a while to try out new places in town. I choose the homemade pasta at Poste and have to say I was very excited to try this dish. As much as I loved my choice, I was excited to see some of the other options come out to my fellow guests and now look forward to trying out a few more dishes there on my next lunch adventure. I highly recommend stopping by Poste for an afterword drink, lunch with some clients or even dinner with a friend. The modern decor and convenient location make this a great dinning and meeting location.

Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. My husband and I spent New Year's Eve here and were treated to an amazing tasting menu. By the end, we were drunk on the food in addition to the wine. They have an excellent brunch as well. It's a bit on the expensive side, but with the high quality ingredients used, it's worth it.
